We photograph the whole span of venues throughout Berkshire and the towns around Woodley, Tilehurst and Wokingham. During the ceremony we work quietly with longer lenses, so whether you exchange vows in a church, a register office or a garden, we stay unobtrusive and miss nothing.

We photograph emotion first and composition second, then find that when the feeling is real the composition tends to take care of itself. Our documentary instinct means we are often looking where others are not, catching the reaction behind the speech and the smile just after the vows. We shoot with a storyteller's eye, watching how the day connects together, so the finished collection reads as a narrative rather than a set of separate photographs.

Reading station is a major railway interchange served by Great Western Railway, the Elizabeth line and cross country services, close to junctions 10 and 11 of the M4. When there is time for couple portraits, Forbury Gardens, the Victorian public gardens next to the abbey ruins is a favourite, and The ruins of Reading Abbey beside the Forbury makes a memorable setting.

A registry office wedding can be just as moving as any cathedral, and we bring the same attention to the small, tender details wherever your vows take place. Whether you marry in a country house, a chapel or a city hall, we photograph the ceremony with restraint, letting the day speak for itself. We understand that every ceremony has its own rhythm, so we read the room, keep our movement minimal and photograph the vows as they truly happen.

From getting ready in the morning to the final send off, we document the whole day as it flows, so nothing between the big moments is lost. We photograph the cake, the first dance and the evening party with an easy touch, so the celebration keeps its energy while we quietly gather the pictures. We follow the meal from the toasts to the coffee, photographing the speeches and the reactions, then move outside as the light softens for a few portraits.
