Kaushik bhai did the photography for my baby shower and did a phenomenal job! Can't wait to book him for additional events in the future! Thanks for everything!

Rachana P., Google review, 2025

We have known Kaushik Bathia for many years and he has photographed many weddings and events for the family. We also go to him for our family portraits and as the family grows, we keep returning to him not only because of his high quality work, but because of his great nature and light hearted approach that always makes the session so enjoyable. Highly recommended for all your photography needs!

Christenings

Christenings in Buckinghamshire's medieval parish churches

A Bucks christening may well take place in an old parish church. St Mary's in Old Amersham is a Grade I listed church dating from the 13th century, and St Giles in Chalfont St Giles has Norman architecture, a lychgate and early 14th-century wall paintings. In Chesham, St Mary's in the Old Town is Grade I listed with a square tower and an octagonal spire.

Older churches are often dim inside, so Kaushik works with fast lenses and keeps flash to a minimum during the service. Every church sets its own rules on photography, so we ask the vicar or parish office in advance and follow what they say. Afterwards, the lychgate or churchyard gives a good spot for the family group. See christening photography for how the day runs.

Family celebrations

Milestone birthdays, mehndi nights and celebrations at home

A lot of Buckinghamshire celebrations happen at home or in a marquee in the garden. A 40th, a 60th, an anniversary dinner or a first birthday all follow the same pattern: arrivals, speeches, the cake and the people who have travelled to be there. We agree in advance which moments matter most, and which relatives must appear in a group photo.

The south of the county has a mixed population. Census figures from 2021 show roughly one Gerrards Cross resident in four identifying as Asian, and Sikh (10.5%), Hindu (7.5%) and Muslim (6.4%) faiths all well represented in the town. Religious celebrations, engagement parties and Eid or Diwali gatherings are photographed with the same care as a wedding, and family members are told what to expect.

Corporate

Corporate evenings, launches and awards near the M40

For businesses, event photography covers conferences, awards dinners, team away-days and product launches. Pinewood Studios at Iver Heath, with more than 150 businesses on its lot, and the business parks at Denham and Chalfont Park all sit within about 6 miles of the studio. Old Amersham, Beaconsfield and Chesham have smaller firms that hold summer parties and client evenings.

We agree a shot list before the event: speakers, sponsors' logos, the room set-up before guests arrive and candid networking. For speeches, a long lens keeps Kaushik at the back of the room. Event photography explains coverage in more detail, and headshots in Buckinghamshire can be added to the same day.

Community

Community events and local traditions across the county

Buckinghamshire has a strong calendar of community events. Wycombe's yearly Asian Mela is held on the Rye, the Upper Thames Sailing Club at Bourne End hosts the Bourne End Week regatta in June, and High Wycombe's weighing of the mayor has taken place since 1678. Near Princes Risborough, the Kop Hill Climb was revived in 2009 after first running from 1910 to 1925.

Charities, schools, community groups and clubs often want a record of an open day, a fundraiser or a fete. Coverage for these works the same way as a private event: we agree the programme, the key people and where Kaushik needs to be for each moment. Organisers can share a selection with the press or on social media.

Distance

How travel and timings work for a Buckinghamshire event

Denham is about 4 miles from the studio, Amersham about 10, High Wycombe about 15 and Aylesbury about 23. Milton Keynes and Buckingham are further, at about 34 and 37 miles. Kaushik travels from Northwood to all of them, and the time on site and the travel are set out in your written quote before you confirm.

Evening events need a little extra planning: halls are often dark, and speeches happen late. We ask for the running order a week ahead and arrive before guests so the room can be photographed while it is empty. For family events, the Buckinghamshire family photography page covers relaxed sessions outside party days.

Planning

Planning around Buckinghamshire

01

Ask the parish first

Each church sets its own photography rules for a christening; we contact the vicar or parish office before the day.

02

Send the running order

A timetable a week ahead lets us be in place for speeches, the cake and any surprise.

03

List the must-have groups

Grandparents, godparents or a visiting relative: name them in advance so nobody is missed.

04

Empty room first

We arrive before guests to photograph the decorations and table settings while they are untouched.
