The short answer
Kaushik Bathia is an award winning wedding photographer based in London, photographing weddings in Bourne End and throughout Buckinghamshire for over twenty five years and more than a thousand celebrations. Small, telling details matter to us as much as the big set pieces, so we photograph the handwritten notes, the borrowed jewellery and the quiet glances between courses. Whatever your wedding looks like in Bourne End, a church service, a register office, a country house, a barn or a hotel, and whatever your traditions, we photograph the whole day as it happens. A second photographer is available whenever your day calls for it, giving broader coverage and a second perspective on the moments you cannot be in two places for. You can add an engagement shoot, a second photographer and hand finished albums, and we are glad to travel across Buckinghamshire and beyond, so wherever your day is held it is well within reach.
Serving Bourne End
Bourne End is a Thames-side village with riverside venues. Our diary runs from intimate register office mornings to weekend-long country house celebrations, and we photograph the full range across Marlow, Cookham and Wooburn and beyond into Buckinghamshire. Ceremonies rarely run to the second, so we stay alert throughout, ready for the moments that arrive early, run long or happen when least expected.
We shoot loosely and instinctively, following the energy of the room, so the collection you receive moves at the same pace the day actually did. You lead the day and we follow it, photographing the details you have planned and the surprises you have not, all without interrupting the flow. For family groups we keep instructions light and the mood friendly, getting everyone through quickly so the formal part never turns into a chore.
We travel to Bourne End regularly and always look forward to it. Bourne End is a Thames-side village with riverside venues, and we photograph weddings here and throughout the nearby area, Princes Risborough and Chalfont St Peter included. We are at home at Bourne End-area venues such as Riversdale Lodge.
Bourne End is a Thames-side village at the mouth of the River Wye, popular for boating and riverside walks. Bourne End station is on the Marlow branch line between Maidenhead and Marlow. We often take couples to Spade Oak and the riverside meadows leading towards Little Marlow for a few quiet portraits, and Cock Marsh, a National Trust common and Site of Special Scientific Interest across the Thames, reached by the railway footbridge is a lovely backdrop nearby.

What we offer
We set aside quiet time for portraits of the two of you, images made to be framed and enjoyed for years.
Printed albums are made by hand from your favourite frames, so the day lives somewhere beyond a screen.
Our coverage options are set out plainly, so you can see what you are choosing without chasing hidden extras.
Every kind of wedding
We understand that every ceremony has its own rhythm, so we read the room, keep our movement minimal and photograph the vows as they truly happen. From the first steps down the aisle to the final walk back as a married couple, we follow your ceremony closely and let it breathe without any staging. However your ceremony unfolds, in a chapel, a barn or a hotel garden room, we stay quietly at the edges and let the words and the looks between you speak for themselves.
The cutting of the cake and the first dance often run close together, and we stay ready for both, keeping our light soft and our presence easy. The drinks reception is where the day loosens and the real laughter starts, so we move through the crowd and photograph the reunions and quiet chats as they happen. Preparations, portraits, the meal and the party each get their share of our attention, and we pace ourselves so no part of the celebration is thinly covered.

The whole celebration
We tend to arrive while the flowers are still being set out, so the first frames show the day before anyone has touched it. Starting with the preparations lets us gather the small details, the shoes, the rings, the handwritten notes, before the day gathers pace around you.
We give equal care to the quiet moments and the big ones, so the finished set tells the whole story of the day, not just its highlights. We pace ourselves to the day, not the shot list, so the finished gallery moves naturally from the morning through to the party.
Why choose us
Years of working in every kind of venue mean we understand how light behaves in a church, a marquee or a country house, and we plan our coverage accordingly. Whatever the size or style of your wedding, we have very likely photographed something similar, and that familiarity lets us focus fully on your particular day.
When a day is spread out or the drive is a long one, a second photographer can travel with us so coverage across Buckinghamshire stays unbroken. Wherever the celebration takes you, we come along, covering venues throughout Marlow, Cookham and Wooburn and right across Buckinghamshire without a fuss.

Where we travel
We map out the driving and parking in advance for every wedding, so reaching venues around Marlow, Cookham and Wooburn and across Buckinghamshire is smooth on the day. Getting to your venue is our responsibility, not yours, and we regularly cover weddings right across Buckinghamshire and beyond.

Good to know
We offer engagement shoots and many couples find them a lovely warm-up before the wedding. It is a relaxed hour or two that lets us get to know one another, so you feel at ease in front of the camera on the day. The images are yours to use for save-the-dates or simply to enjoy.
We have photographed across Buckinghamshire and the wider region for many years, so there is a good chance we already know your venue and its best spots. If it is somewhere new to us, we research the layout beforehand and arrive early to scout. Either way we come prepared rather than working it out on the day.
Look for a full gallery from real weddings rather than a few standout shots, a style that feels natural to you, and someone you warm to when you meet. Experience matters most on the day itself, when timings slip and the light changes. We have photographed more than a thousand weddings since 2001, so very little takes us by surprise.
Weddings often drift a little, and we are relaxed about that. If you would like us to stay past the agreed finish time, we can usually add extra hours on the day, and we will let you know the cost before we carry on. We would much rather stay than miss a memorable moment.
Your date is held once we have a signed agreement and a booking deposit, with the balance due before the wedding. The deposit secures your date against other enquiries and comes off your total. We keep the paperwork simple and clear, and we are always happy to explain any part of it before you commit.
We are happy to travel further afield for a destination wedding and have photographed couples in some beautiful settings. We will talk through travel, accommodation, and timings with you, so everything is clear and settled well before you fly. Photographing weddings away from home is one of the real joys of what we do.
Yes, as much as you need. For portraits we offer simple, friendly prompts about where to stand and what to do with your hands, so you never feel stranded in front of the lens. The rest of the day needs almost nothing from you, because we work quietly around the celebration as it unfolds.
