Hedsor House prices for 2026 to 2028

Hedsor House publishes its prices on a 2026 to 2028 pricing page. Dry hire starts from £6,450 plus VAT for up to 150 seated. Curated packages start from £18,950 plus VAT for The Darcy (70 or more guests), £26,950 plus VAT for The Augusta (80 or more) and £42,950 plus VAT for The Florence (100 or more). Accommodation is included.

Other published charges: a wine buyout to bring your own wine at £1,800 plus VAT in 2026 and £1,900 plus VAT in 2027, and a fireworks facility fee of £1,700 including VAT in 2026, not counting the fireworks themselves. Dry hire bookings with a blessing or celebrant ceremony pay a ceremony facility fee whose amount is not published. Registrar costs for a civil ceremony are paid directly to the registration office.

On numbers: up to 150 day guests for the ceremony and wedding breakfast, plus 100 more in the evening, 250 in all. The dry hire terms set the same limits, 150 for a seated dinner and 250 standing, and the venue notes that a mandap or stage may reduce them.

Mandap, nikah, baraat and the ceremonial fire

The house is licensed for civil weddings on the ground floor and in the gardens, with outdoor ceremonies on the South Lawn or South Terrace; the caterer plans a wet-weather backup with you. Civil ceremonies are booked with Beaconsfield Old Town Registration Office. Blessings and celebrant-led ceremonies are allowed too.

Religious ceremonies for Hindu, Sikh and Muslim couples can be held, including nikah. The FAQ places a mandap in the Centre Hall (and mentions the Ballroom), the baraat along the main drive, and mehndi and sangeet in the Centre Hall. A small ceremonial fire is permitted. Segregated weddings can be accommodated after discussion. It is usually not possible to hold a religious and a civil ceremony on the same day, but the house can be hired for several days.

Only approved caterers may be used, and the dry hire terms extend that to AV and production, floristry, fireworks and fairground suppliers unless agreed in writing. Ask the venue in writing: your event end time (set in the hire agreement), the mandap size the Centre Hall can take for your numbers, and the ceremony facility fee.

The Lavinia Suite, the Dustin Suite and The Hive

Hedsor publishes its getting-ready rooms. Thirteen bedrooms sleeping 26 come with the hire. A wheelchair lift reaches the ground floor only, so there is no overnight accommodation in the house for guests needing step-free access; The Hive is accessible, with a ramp and a wet room.

A domed Centre Hall and a Dutch Sunken Garden

  • The Centre Hall has a domed ceiling and a mezzanine balcony: a balcony view looks down on a mandap or a first dance.
  • The portrait above the Centre Hall fireplace stays uncovered, so it will sit behind a mandap placed there; plan the angle with that in mind.
  • The Ballroom keeps its original wood panelling, a warm background for speeches.
  • The South Lawn looks over the Thames Valley; outdoor ceremonies need a wet-weather room agreed in advance.
  • No confetti at all, so a bubbles or streamer exit replaces the confetti picture.
  • Drone footage needs paperwork supplied in advance.

Hedsor House wedding photography, frequently asked questions

How much does a wedding at Hedsor House cost?

The venue's pricing page for 2026 to 2028 lists dry hire from £6,450 plus VAT for up to 150 seated, The Darcy package from £18,950 plus VAT for 70 or more guests, The Augusta from £26,950 plus VAT for 80 or more and The Florence from £42,950 plus VAT for 100 or more, each with accommodation. A wine buyout costs £1,800 plus VAT in 2026, and the fireworks facility fee is £1,700 including VAT. Registrar fees are paid to the registration office separately.

How many guests can Hedsor House hold?

Up to 150 day guests for the ceremony and wedding breakfast, with a further 100 in the evening, making 250. A mandap or stage may reduce those numbers. For the legal ceremony, Buckinghamshire Council lists the Ballroom at 200, the Drawing Room at 70, the Willingdon or Dining Room at 57 and the Boudoir at 50. The Centre Hall figure differs between sources: 159 on the council list and 150 in the venue's FAQ, counted as 120 downstairs and 30 on the balcony.

Can you have a Hindu, Sikh or Muslim wedding at Hedsor House?

Yes. The venue's FAQ says religious ceremonies for Hindu, Sikh and Muslim couples can be held, including nikah, with the mandap in the Centre Hall, the baraat along the main drive and the mehndi and sangeet in the Centre Hall. A small ceremonial fire is permitted, and segregated weddings can be arranged after discussion. Catering comes from the approved list, which covers Indian, Punjabi, halal, Sri Lankan and Gujarati cuisine. A religious and a civil ceremony on one day is usually not possible, though multi-day hire is.

Is confetti allowed at Hedsor House?

No. The dry hire terms rule out confetti, rice, petals and confetti cannons unless agreed in writing, and the FAQ says confetti is not allowed but bubbles, streamers and sparklers are fine. Candles must be in glass and only in occupied rooms, and smoke machines and sky lanterns are excluded. Fireworks are possible outdoors with an approved supplier, at reduced noise, before 10pm at the back of the South Lawn. For photographs, that means planning a bubble or streamer exit instead.

Is there parking at Hedsor House?

Yes, in the main car park in front of the house, for up to 100 cars, with four charging points for electric vehicles. The nearest station is Taplow, 3.3 miles away, and Burnham, Beaconsfield and Maidenhead are each about four to five miles away, so evening guests arriving by train will need taxis. Thirteen bedrooms sleeping 26 people are included in the hire, so the immediate family can stay on site and leave cars there overnight.
