Our approach is documentary, but not silent: across the whole day there are perhaps twenty minutes of gentle direction, and the rest is watching and waiting for moments to unfold. Around Willesden, a day might begin in the Ceremony Suite or the canopied Ceremony Gardens at Brent Civic Centre, in one of the two approved screens at the Lexi Cinema in Kensal Rise, or at The Crown Hotel on Cricklewood Broadway, which is licensed for up to 300 guests, and we would photograph any of them. Formal pictures are kept short and the day kept on schedule, so you are back with your guests quickly, whether the groups are taken in Roundwood Park or beside the Ceremony Gardens at Brent Civic Centre. Green mosaic tiling on the Grade II listed Willesden Green station building is a small thing, but it is exactly the sort of local frame that stops a wedding album looking generic.
