The hukamnama, the reading taken after the laavan, closes the ceremony, and we capture it with respect. We keep our distance during the laavan and the prayers, and step in only for the joyful greetings. The langar that follows the ceremony, shared by the whole sangat, is a moment of community we capture with warmth.

From the first event to the last, we tell the full story of the celebration. We photograph the sehra bandi, when the groom's turban and sehra are tied, with all its ceremony. The kaleere tied to the bride's choora carry their own meaning, and we photograph the ritual with care.
