Serving Lambeth
Lambeth is a south London borough on the Thames. From the gurdwara to the reception, we keep the day flowing across venues throughout Southwark, Wandsworth. From the darbar sahib to the reception floor, we photograph the whole day with a calm, familiar presence.
We move quietly around the darbar sahib, capturing the four laavan as they happen rather than staging them. Our style is unobtrusive, so the darbar sahib stays a place of worship and never becomes a photoshoot. We capture the details too, the choora, the kaleere, the sehra and the palki, that make your Anand Karaj yours.
Much of our work takes us across Greater London; Lambeth, a south London borough on the Thames, and the towns around it, including Southwark, Wandsworth, are very familiar to us. We also cover nearby Lewisham and Merton. Local Sikh wedding venues we know near Lambeth include Lambeth Assembly Hall, Brunswick House and Beaconsfield Gallery Vauxhall.
A diverse south London borough stretching from Waterloo to Streatham, with Brixton at its heart and a strong Caribbean heritage. Served by Waterloo and Vauxhall stations and the Victoria and Northern lines. We often take couples to Brockwell Park near Herne Hill and Brixton for a few quiet portraits, and Lambeth Palace, the London residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury is a lovely backdrop nearby.

What we offer
From the milni and the kirtan to the four laavan before the Guru Granth Sahib, every part understood and captured.
The morning meeting of the two families, with garlands, the dhol and warm embraces, captured in full.
The bride's departure from her family home, the most emotional moment of the day, photographed with great sensitivity.
Every tradition
We work discreetly at the back and the sides of the darbar sahib, so the Anand Karaj is never disturbed. As the ragis sing each laav, the couple walk slowly around the Guru Granth Sahib, and we photograph it quietly from the side. At the heart of a Sikh wedding is the Anand Karaj, the blissful union performed before the Guru Granth Sahib.
The pre-wedding events are often where the most natural photographs come from, and we give them full attention. The mehndi is intimate and detailed, and we photograph both the henna and the laughter around it. We photograph the sehra bandi, when the groom's turban and sehra are tied, with all its ceremony.

The whole celebration
A celebration might open with the chunni ceremony, followed by the maiyan and the mehndi. The days before the wedding often hold the most relaxed, candid moments of the whole celebration.
Because gurdwaras often require an early finish, the Anand Karaj usually falls in the morning, and we plan for it. On the wedding day, the milni, the Anand Karaj and the four laavan build to the doli and the reception.
Why choose us
Sikh families return to us, and recommend us, because we treat every laav and every ardaas as it deserves. With twenty-five years and over a thousand weddings behind us, nothing about an Anand Karaj surprises us.
We photograph across Greater London regularly, and travelling to a gurdwara in Lambeth is second nature to us. Reaching your gurdwara is simply part of how we work, and distance is never a barrier to covering the milni.

Where we travel
We cover the whole of the UK for Anand Karaj ceremonies, so distance never stands between us and your gurdwara. From London we reach Lambeth easily, and we know the darbar sahib and langar halls of Greater London well.

Good to know
Yes. We understand gurdwara etiquette, cover our heads, remove our shoes and work from the sides and back with a long lens, never turning our back to the Guru Granth Sahib.
Yes. The morning milni, when the families meet, and the doli, when the bride departs, are among the most moving moments of the day, and we photograph both with warmth and sensitivity.
Yes. We know the four laavan well, and understand that the couple circle the Guru Granth Sahib once for each hymn. We photograph every round quietly from a respectful distance.
Absolutely. We regularly cover the maiyan, mehndi, jaggo, the Anand Karaj and the reception in Lambeth, with additional photographers for the largest celebrations.
Yes. Alongside your edited digital gallery we design a hand-finished, fine-art album, so the whole story of your celebration is held in something to pass down.
