So the decision gets made before anyone takes their place: one spot, one lens range, no wandering. Flash is out. The fittings give what they give, daylight it is not, and metering to skin instead of to the whole frame separates usable from grey.
Laavan arrive as sound more than as movement, so from one fixed vantage the pictures come off faces rather than off action. Palla is the exception, the single physical gesture the morning hands you.
