Serving Haringey

Punjabi and Sikh weddings in Haringey

Haringey is a diverse north London borough. Wherever your events are held across Enfield, Camden, we plan the timings and travel with care. From the darbar sahib to the reception floor, we photograph the whole day with a calm, familiar presence.

We document each event as it happens, from the morning milni to the langar, so your gallery feels true to the day. We are at ease with large, multi-day Sikh celebrations and intimate gurdwara ceremonies alike. Our approach is relaxed and documentary, so you can be present in your own Anand Karaj rather than posing for it.

Sikh families across Enfield, Camden trust us with their weddings, and Haringey, a diverse north London borough, is a place we return to often. We also cover nearby Harrow Weald and Hatch End. In and around Haringey, we have photographed at venues such as Grand Palace Banqueting Suite and Green Rooms Hotel.

Haringey is a diverse north London borough spanning leafy hilltop neighbourhoods and busy town centres, with a wide mix of communities. Wood Green and Turnpike Lane stations serve the Piccadilly line, and Alexandra Palace station offers National Rail links. For pre-wedding and couple portraits, we love spots such as Alexandra Park, with panoramic city views, open grassland and a boating lake, with Alexandra Palace, the Victorian entertainment venue known as Ally Pally close by for a striking backdrop.

Every tradition

From maiyan to doli

The most sacred moments inside the gurdwara are captured with a quiet long lens, from a respectful distance. We are mindful of gurdwara etiquette throughout, never turning our back to the Guru Granth Sahib. At the heart of a Sikh wedding is the Anand Karaj, the blissful union performed before the Guru Granth Sahib.

The mehndi is intimate and detailed, and we photograph both the henna and the laughter around it. The dhol and bhangra of the jaggo are pure joy, and we capture every bit of the energy. The pre-wedding events are often where the most natural photographs come from, and we give them full attention.

The whole celebration

From the first ritual to the last dance

Some couples keep an elaborate sequence of events; others a simpler one, and we shape coverage to yours. Tell us which events matter most and we will build the coverage around them.

On the wedding day, the milni, the Anand Karaj and the four laavan build to the doli and the reception. From the morning preparations to the final dance, we give every part of the day the same care.

Why choose us

Why Sikh couples in Haringey choose us

Twenty-five years behind the lens means we know exactly what comes next, from the sehra bandi to the doli. Experience means we are ready for the early gurdwara start, the milni and the precise order of the four laavan.

We are London-based but rarely in London; much of our work takes us to the gurdwaras and jaggo nights of London and the surrounding area. Wherever your jaggo and your Anand Karaj take place across London and the surrounding area, we will be there in good time for the morning kirtan.
