For Haringey
A sitting takes about ninety minutes. We walk, we talk, and the camera comes up in short spells rather than running non-stop, because a face that is watched continuously sets into one held expression and stays there.
You see frames on the back of the camera as we go, so nothing at the end is a surprise. The edited set lands in a gallery you can look through at home, you mark the ones you want taken further, and every file comes twice over: small for a phone, large for a frame.

What we offer
Outdoor portrait sittings anywhere in Haringey, with the Northwood room held in reserve for weather that ruins outdoors.
The spot is chosen by wind and light on the day, not by whichever view looks best.
Edited images in a private gallery, sized both for a phone screen and for a framed print.
Twenty-five years behind the lens
Twenty-five years of sittings say the good frame usually arrives about two thirds of the way through, once the self consciousness has worn off and the shoulders have dropped. Actors are directed differently from everybody else. Instead of a smile you are given a thought to hold, because casting reads the eyes long before it reads the mouth.
Makeup can be a little heavier than you would wear to work, because a camera flattens it, but nothing should be tried for the first time that morning. Personal-branding sessions can deliver a varied set of images for your website, profiles and social channels.

Good to know
Yes. A graduation is a genuine achievement, and we photograph it with warmth for clients across Haringey, in gown and cap if you like. Sessions can be just you or shared with proud family, and prints, frames and albums let the moment last far beyond the day.
Once we finish in Haringey or the studio, you receive a gallery of carefully edited images to choose from. You can then order prints, frames, canvases and hand-finished albums, or simply keep the digital portraits. Editing stays natural and light, keeping you looking like yourself at your best.
Please do. Bringing a few outfits gives your portraits real variety, and every session in Haringey or the studio has time built in for changes. We are happy to advise beforehand on what photographs well, and how different colours and styles behave under the studio lighting.
Yes. Personal-branding sessions, whether in the studio or on location in Haringey, are shaped around how you wish to be seen: approachable, creative or authoritative. You come away with a varied, confident set of images for your website, profiles and professional presence, all flatteringly lit.
Yes, and we travel to Haringey rather than asking you to come to us. The usual arrangement is to meet at a park entrance you can park near, allow around ninety minutes, and bring a second top in case the first one disappears against the background. Say at the time of booking whether anyone in the group struggles with slopes, because it changes which entrance we pick.

More in Haringey
The same studio, experience and personal care apply to every service we offer in Haringey. Explore the rest: We also cover portrait photography across London, including Enfield, Lambeth, Lewisham, Newham, Hackney and Greenwich.
The panoramic view is the first thing anyone mentions about Alexandra Park, but for a portrait the useful consequence is the elevation that produces it. Ground high enough to look out over a city has nothing tall standing behind it, which puts open sky within reach as a backdrop: drop the camera a foot below the subject and every distraction falls out of the frame. Sky is also several stops brighter than a face, so it has to be a choice rather than an accident. Either the sun sits behind the sitter and we light the front, or the frame turns and the grassland takes over the background. Height also means wind. Open grass on a summit has nothing to break it, and hair arranged carefully at home will not last ten minutes up there. Anyone who wants a still, tidy portrait is better served on the lower ground by the boating lake, where the bank gives some shelter and the water lifts a little light back under the chin. Season shifts the balance more than the forecast does. In winter the sun stays low all day and rakes sideways across open grass, which flatters the high ground; between May and August the same ground at midday puts the sun overhead and sinks the eyes into shadow, so early evening becomes the only sensible hour up there. Clothing follows from the background: if sky is behind you, pale fabric loses its edges against it, while a deeper colour holds the shoulders apart from the brightness and keeps the picture from dissolving at the top.
