Serving Havering
Havering is an outer east London borough with country fringes. From grand banqueting venues to the calm of the darbar sahib, we are at home everywhere across Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham. We know the local gurdwaras and their early-morning timings well, and plan the day around them.
We balance documentary coverage with a few quiet portraits, so your album holds both the reverence of the darbar sahib and the energy of the bhangra. We photograph the sacred and the joyful with equal care, the Anand Karaj as faithfully as the bhangra. Our approach is relaxed and documentary, so you can be present in your own Anand Karaj rather than posing for it.
We know Havering, an outer east London borough with country fringes, and the surrounding part of Greater London well, having photographed Sikh weddings throughout Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham. We are often in nearby Hillingdon and Ickenham too. Local Sikh wedding venues we know near Havering include The City Pavilion and Langtons House.
An outer east London borough with rural country fringes to the north and the long-established Romford street market at its heart. Served by Romford station on the Elizabeth line and London Overground, with the A12 and M25 skirting the borough. For portraits away from the celebration, Bedfords Park at Havering-atte-Bower, home to a red deer herd works beautifully, and Bower House of 1729 in the hilltop village of Havering-atte-Bower adds a real sense of place.

What we offer
The speeches, the first dance, the bhangra and the giddha, captured to the very last guest.
At home with the sehra bandi, the choora, the kaleere and the energy of the bhangra.
The maiyan, mehndi and jaggo night, where the warmest, most natural moments of a Sikh wedding often happen.
Every tradition
The ardaas and the hukamnama that frame the ceremony are moments of stillness we capture with care. We work discreetly at the back and the sides of the darbar sahib, so the Anand Karaj is never disturbed. We are mindful of gurdwara etiquette throughout, never turning our back to the Guru Granth Sahib.
The kaleere tied to the bride's choora carry their own meaning, and we photograph the ritual with care. We photograph the chunni ceremony and the giving of the choora, and the emotion that comes with them. The mehndi is intimate and detailed, and we photograph both the henna and the laughter around it.

The whole celebration
We can join you for a single event or follow the whole journey from the very first ritual. The jaggo night brings an evening of music, dancing and candlelit pots before the wedding day itself.
Because gurdwaras often require an early finish, the Anand Karaj usually falls in the morning, and we plan for it. We stay through the evening to capture the reception, from the grand entrance to the last dance.
Why choose us
Twenty-five years behind the lens means we know exactly what comes next, from the sehra bandi to the doli. Couples choose us for our calm presence and our knowledge of every ritual, from the milni to the four laavan.
We photograph Sikh weddings throughout London and the surrounding area, and the gurdwaras around Havering are firmly within the area we cover. We photograph across Greater London regularly, and travelling to a gurdwara in Havering is second nature to us.

Where we travel
We travel happily across Greater London and the neighbouring counties for the maiyan, the Anand Karaj and the doli alike. We are glad to discuss your gurdwara, your reception venue and the journey between them when you enquire.

Good to know
Yes. A pre-wedding shoot is a lovely way to relax in front of the camera before the big day, and we are happy to arrange one at a location you love.
You will receive a small preview soon after the day, followed by your full edited gallery. We then design a hand-finished album that holds the whole story of your celebration.
Yes, and it is one of our favourite events. We capture the music, the dancing and the candlelit pots, with all of the energy the jaggo brings.
Of course. Whether it is an intimate Anand Karaj or a celebration of several hundred, we tailor our coverage to your day and your family.
Yes. For larger Sikh weddings we bring a second photographer, so the milni and the bridal preparations can be covered at once and both the ceremony and the guests are fully captured.
