Kaushik Bathia Photography was founded in 2001, so there are more than twenty-five years of professional work behind every booking. Along the way the work has earned Kaushik his FBIPP and FMPA fellowships and five European Kodak Gold Awards. It means we can plan calmly for anything from a ceremony at The Pavilion on College Road to a quick LinkedIn headshot.

We would let the children set the pace rather than fight it. Outdoors, we would suggest West Harrow Recreation Ground on The Ridgeway, where there is space to run about and a coffee shop for a mid-session break. We keep things brief, build in pauses, and bring parents into the frame whenever a toddler needs a familiar hand. The photographs that come out of it look like your child as you know them, not a posed stand-in.

As a full-service studio about three miles from West Harrow, we can take on almost any shoot you have in mind with a single photographer. That includes weddings at venues such as The Pavilion or Tithe Farm Sports and Social Club in Rayners Lane, family and newborn sessions, headshots, portraits, pets, and commercial or event work. Framing, enlargement, restoration, and passport and visa photos are handled at the studio as well, so most jobs need only one visit.

Travel to West Harrow is not charged, as the Northwood studio is only about three miles away. Only a shoot much further afield, or a full wedding day needing a very early start, might carry a travel cost, and we raise that at the outset. Should anything extra ever apply, it is written into your quote before you book.

Our style is relaxed and documentary, so nobody feels they are on a film set. We photograph moments, faces and details as they happen, then step in briefly for the family groups you have asked for, which at The Pavilion could be taken in its courtyard straight after the ceremony. You end up with an honest record of the day rather than a string of set-ups.

Timing depends on the kind of shoot and the season, since a headshot is quicker to finish than a full wedding. Headshots and portraits normally arrive within a couple of weeks; wedding galleries are larger and more carefully edited, so allow a little longer. Working to a deadline, such as a family gathering or a new work profile? Mention it when you book and we will aim to meet it and keep you posted.

Choose plain, well fitted clothes in colours that suit your line of work. A shirt on its own, or with a jacket, suits most business and LinkedIn portraits, and it is worth leaving bold patterns and logos at home. Press your shirt beforehand and, if you are coming by Tube from West Harrow station, carry it on a hanger with a spare so it arrives crease free. When you arrive we will sort out collars, ties and any last details before we start.
