Belmont's branch-line station opened in 1932 and lost its passenger service under the Beeching cuts in 1964. For pre-wedding and couple portraits, Kenton Recreation Ground, just south of Belmont, offers 21 hectares of open space.

Beforehand we agree the plan, timings and what to bring, perhaps for a walk on the Belmont Trail, the path between Wealdstone and Stanmore that follows the old branch line, and on the day we stay flexible.
