For Belmont
The animal sets the pace. Time is given to sniff and settle, treats and toys are used to catch attention at the right moment, and breaks are taken whenever needed, so the pictures show a relaxed pet rather than a tired or overexcited one.
Choosing happens later, in an online gallery, as slowly as you like. Fur keeps its true shade and markings in the edit, and your favourites can stay digital or become a framed print or canvas for the living room.

I was nervous about how my 2 year old would react, but we had a great photo session! Kaushik had plenty of props to keep my son entertained, laughing, and happily posing.Afterward, he was incredibly patient as we went through every single photo to pick our favorites, even though we kept changing our minds. I highly recommend his service and will definitely be back once my second baby is born!
Very good experience. Did a family shoot at Kaushik Bathia's studio yesterday. He was amazing at getting all of us to give natural smiles.
Kaushik is a fantastic photographer and has captured some superb family memories for us! Great service with high quality, professional images.

Good to know
Yes. Kaushik Bathia FBIPP FMPA has run the studio since 2001, and pet sessions are paced entirely around the animal, with slow movements, quiet voices and time to settle. Dogs, cats and smaller pets are all welcome, in the studio or outdoors near Belmont.
Yes. Outdoor pet sessions can be held near Belmont at Stanmore Country Park, Kenton Recreation Ground or along the Belmont Trail, and animals who prefer a quiet room can visit the Northwood studio, about 4 miles away. Harrow's parks have dog control rules, which a session plan respects.
Not at all. Energy makes for great action pictures, and the open space of Kenton Recreation Ground gives a lively dog room to run. A good walk before the session takes the edge off, and calmer portraits usually follow once the excitement settles.
Yes. Any favourite from your gallery can be turned into a print, a framed piece, a canvas or part of an album, and you receive the digital files as well. Prices are given on request by phone or WhatsApp, with no pressure to order anything.
Yes. Dark coats need soft, angled light to reveal texture and bring a sparkle to the eyes. The studio lighting is set up for exactly this, and outdoors, open shade under the trees at Stanmore Country Park or an overcast day works far better than bright sun.
Serving Belmont
For owners in Belmont, the Northwood pet studio is around 4 miles away, with Stanmore Country Park and the Belmont Trail close to home. It sits close to Wealdstone and Harrow Weald, which we cover too. Where your pet settles best, the studio at Northwood or somewhere near Belmont, decides the setting for the session.
Belmont sits between Stanmore, Kenton, Wealdstone and Queensbury, and its name comes from the Duke of Chandos's 18th-century viewing mound, now Stanmore Golf Course. After its station closed in 1964, the old branch line became the Belmont Trail, a path between Wealdstone and Stanmore that suits a walk before or after an outdoor session. Stanmore on the Jubilee line and Kenton on the Bakerloo line and London Overground serve Belmont, but with a pet in the car, parking near the Northwood studio makes the journey simpler. When a session suits an outdoor setting, Kenton Recreation Ground and the greens of Stanmore Golf Course near Belmont is one option, close to Belmont Circle.

Belmont is well placed for an outdoor pet session, with several green spaces close by. Stanmore Country Park, mainly woodland and meadow, gives a dog varied ground to explore and long grass that makes a soft, natural backdrop at the animal's eye level. Kenton Recreation Ground, just to the south, is open and spacious, which suits running and fetching shots where the camera needs room to follow. The Belmont Trail, which follows the line of the old branch railway between Wealdstone and Stanmore, gives a straight path that looks good behind a dog trotting towards the lens. Under Harrow Council's protection orders for its parks, walking more than four dogs at a time requires the council's permission, which a household with a big pack will want to factor in. Energetic dogs photograph best after a good walk; the first ten minutes are often spent letting off steam. Bring treats, a favourite toy, water and a towel. For black or dark coated animals, overcast days and open shade show far more texture than bright sun. Cats, rabbits and nervous animals are better suited to the Northwood studio, about 4 miles from Belmont, where it is quiet and the animal can be photographed with or without its owner.
