The most sacred parts of the day are captured from a respectful distance with a quiet long lens.

The dhol and dancing of the baraat are pure joy, and we capture every bit of the energy. Walima belongs to the groom's family and is often the more formal of the two Muslim celebrations, and we photograph it with that shift in tone in mind. At the milni the two families meet and embrace, garlands are exchanged and the elders greet one another, and we record the warmth of that first joining.
