Where authority sits in the room changes everything, and families answer that differently. Some days it is a fire, and nothing may be framed across it. After that the craft is common to all of them. Interiors run darker than anyone remembers, and pushing a sensor beats raising a light every time. Elders will not be repositioned, so we move instead. Each of these traditions carries a moment under two seconds long which never comes again. A second photographer therefore covers the reverse angle from the start, not as a rescue later. Two angles also mean a face is never lost behind a shoulder.

If your ceremony is at a temple, yes. We contact whoever runs it beforehand, learn what is permitted where, and work inside that. Shoes, silence and the route in are all settled ahead, leaving nothing to negotiate while guests are waiting.

Do you bring backup equipment?+

Always. Two bodies apiece, spare lenses, cards written in duplicate, batteries for twice the hours booked, and flashguns that will not all die at once. Equipment does break. It has simply never been allowed to cost anybody a photograph.

Can you photograph a fusion or mixed-faith wedding?+

Yes, and those days photograph well. When two sets of custom meet in one afternoon, they arrive with two different tolerances for a lens, so we sit both families down early and learn where each of them draws its line.

Are you discreet during the ceremony?+

Yes, to the point where families forget we are there. Long lenses, dark clothing, no direction and no flash during anything sacred. If a picture cannot be made without interrupting something, it does not get made.

Are you experienced with Tamil and South Indian weddings?+

Yes. South Indian ceremonies run on their own clock and their own sequence, frequently starting earlier than families elsewhere expect, and the decisive exchanges are quick and seated. We read your programme beforehand and take our cues from the priest.
