The short answer
An award winning, London based Asian wedding photographer, Kaushik Bathia has spent more than twenty five years photographing Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil weddings in Hillingdon and across Greater London. Big families mean scattered moments, and a second photographer can be booked so the mehndi in one room and the arrivals in another are both held. We photograph every Asian wedding tradition in Hillingdon, from the Hindu mandap and pheras to the Sikh Anand Karaj, the Muslim nikah and the Tamil muhurtham, across multi day celebrations. Decades of weddings mean we read the day instinctively and never miss the moments that matter. A second photographer for the busiest days, and we travel throughout Greater London for your wedding.
Uxbridge sits at the heart of a borough that reaches all the way to Heathrow, and the venue list reflects the demand. Abshar Banqueting and The Cavendish take a Hindu garba, a Sikh reception or a large walima; Hillingdon Golf Club and Stockley Park Golf Club suit a summer mehndi on grass; The Barn Hotel handles a smaller mandap. The Battle of Britain Bunker at the former RAF Uxbridge is nearby. A Northwood based photographer plans these days around the ceremony.
Serving Hillingdon
Hillingdon is London's second-largest borough, on the western edge. We travel throughout Greater London for Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil weddings, and Uxbridge, Hayes are all familiar to us. The ardas that closes an anand karaj brings the whole sangat to its feet, and we photograph the room standing as one rather than only the couple.
We work quietly through the sacred parts and lift the energy for the baraat, reading each moment as it comes rather than pulling you out of it for set-up shots. Across a long day we keep watching the edges of the room, where a grandmother's tears or two cousins laughing often say more than the staged group. During the pooja and the fire ceremony we work from the edges with longer lenses, keeping the priest, the flames and the vows undisturbed.
Couples come to us from right across London and the surrounding area, and Hillingdon is firmly on our patch. Hillingdon is London's second-largest borough, on the western edge, and we know its venues well. We also cover nearby Uxbridge and Ickenham. Around Hillingdon we regularly photograph at The Barn Hotel, Abshar Banqueting and The Cavendish, among others.
London's second-largest borough on the western edge, taking in Uxbridge and much of Heathrow. Served by Hillingdon (Swakeleys) and Uxbridge tube stations on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines, near the A40 Western Avenue. We often take couples to Hillingdon Court Park for a few quiet portraits, and The Battle of Britain Bunker at the former RAF Uxbridge is a lovely backdrop nearby.

What we offer
From the mehndi through to the final reception, we photograph every day of your celebration with the same care and attention.
Between the rituals we gather calm, considered portraits of you both, made to sit comfortably beside the candid frames.
The henna, the music and the family performances all deserve proper coverage, and we hold each evening as its own event.
Every tradition
At a Hindu wedding, the pheras around the sacred fire seal the marriage, and we capture them close. We are mindful of every family's customs at the ceremony, and photograph them exactly as they happen. Consent at a nikah is spoken aloud and sometimes barely audibly, so we watch the bride's and the groom's faces for it rather than the officiant's.
A sangeet belongs to the family, all rehearsed dances and gentle teasing, and we keep pace with its energy late into the night. Away from the couple, cousins reunite, aunts organise and children weave through the crowd, and we watch the family moments that fill the edges of the day. Langar after an anand karaj is served to everyone equally and seated on the floor, and photographing it is photographing the heart of what a Sikh wedding means.

The whole celebration
For a nikah in the morning we photograph the men gathering at the masjid beforehand, shoes off at the door and greetings exchanged in the courtyard. The pre-wedding events frequently span several days, each with its own mood.
Ceremonies with many small rites need a photographer who knows what is coming, and years of these days mean we rarely miss the exchange, the blessing or the tears behind it. The wedding day itself is a journey, from the groom's arrival and the milni to the vows and the reception.
Why choose us
The recommendations that fill our diary come from families who felt understood rather than sold to, and who saw their traditions photographed with real respect. We bring the steadiness that only comes from photographing weddings for twenty-five years.
We cover London and the surrounding area and beyond, and are glad to travel further afield on request. Whether your celebration keeps to one venue or ranges across the county, we carry backup equipment to every location so nothing is ever left to chance.

Where we travel
We photograph across Uxbridge, Hayes regularly, and returning to the county for a wedding feels less like travel and more like familiar ground. We photograph weddings throughout London and the surrounding area, and Hillingdon is firmly within the area we cover.

Good to know
Absolutely. When an Asian wedding in Hillingdon is on a grand scale, we bring a second photographer so no moment slips away while another is unfolding. Extensive guest lists are covered completely, and the preparations and the baraat are recorded at once.
We certainly do. Twenty-five years spent among Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil weddings have made the sequence of each tradition entirely familiar, so we are always in position for the moments that carry the most meaning, never caught out by what comes next. Locally in Hillingdon that takes in The Battle of Britain Bunker at the former RAF Uxbridge.
We do indeed, and a temple ceremony in Hillingdon is no trouble for us to reach. By getting to know the customs of the specific mandir beforehand, we make sure we work respectfully within its guidelines while capturing everything that matters on your day.
Yes. The haldi or pithi is a warm and joyful morning when turmeric is applied to the couple, and it yields wonderfully candid, colourful pictures. We hang back a little so the family can enjoy the fun without inhibition, only moving in close when the moment truly invites it. This applies across Hillingdon and Ruislip, Cowley and West Drayton.
We do, absolutely. A celebration need not be vast to earn our full attention; an intimate nikah, a family engagement or a register office ceremony with a small reception are all a pleasure to cover. Whatever the size, our documentary care remains exactly the same. Open air sessions near Hillingdon tend to use Hillingdon Court Park.
Yes, and we appreciate how important these are to the older generation. Planning a group list with you in advance lets us assemble everyone quickly, generally after the ceremony, so no one is kept hanging about. Beyond that, we document the day as it happens of its own accord. Getting to Hillingdon is straightforward for us: served by Hillingdon (Swakeleys) and Uxbridge tube stations on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines, near the A40 Western Avenue.
Being based in London, we reach Hillingdon and the surrounding towns with ease, and the route is a familiar one. What you gain is a widely experienced Asian wedding specialist, comfortable with every tradition, who knows the venues of the area and comes to you without any fuss.
