Serving Hillingdon
Hillingdon is London's second-largest borough, on the western edge. Wherever your events are held across Uxbridge, Hayes, we plan the timings and travel with care. We photograph at gurdwaras, banqueting halls and marquees right across Greater London.
Our approach is relaxed and documentary, so you can be present in your own Anand Karaj rather than posing for it. We bring a long lens and a light touch, so the four laavan are captured from the sides of the gurdwara at a respectful distance. Our style is unobtrusive, so the darbar sahib stays a place of worship and never becomes a photoshoot.
Sikh families across Uxbridge, Hayes trust us with their weddings, and Hillingdon, London's second-largest borough, on the western edge, is a place we return to often. We also cover nearby Ickenham and Islington. Close to Hillingdon, we have worked at venues including The Barn Hotel, Abshar Banqueting and The Cavendish.
London's second-largest borough on the western edge, taking in Uxbridge and much of Heathrow. Served by Hillingdon (Swakeleys) and Uxbridge tube stations on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines, near the A40 Western Avenue. For pre-wedding and couple portraits, we love spots such as Hillingdon Court Park, with The Battle of Britain Bunker at the former RAF Uxbridge close by for a striking backdrop.

What we offer
The morning meeting of the two families, with garlands, the dhol and warm embraces, captured in full.
We keep the calm of the darbar sahib and work quietly within gurdwara etiquette.
The standing prayer that frames the Anand Karaj, captured as the sangat bow before the Guru Granth Sahib.
Every tradition
As the ragis sing each laav, the couple walk slowly around the Guru Granth Sahib, and we photograph it quietly from the side. We photograph the milni, the morning meeting of the two families, with all of its warmth and garlands. The langar that follows the ceremony, shared by the whole sangat, is a moment of community we capture with warmth.
The mehndi, the jaggo and the maiyan each carry their own mood, and we photograph them all. The day often opens early with kirtan in the gurdwara, and we are there for it. The kaleere tied to the bride's choora carry their own meaning, and we photograph the ritual with care.

The whole celebration
The jaggo night brings an evening of music, dancing and candlelit pots before the wedding day itself. A celebration might open with the chunni ceremony, followed by the maiyan and the mehndi.
We always recommend a little time for couple portraits, often after the ceremony, away from the bustle. Just fifteen minutes is enough for a handful of timeless portraits near your venue.
Why choose us
We have spent twenty-five years learning the detail of the Anand Karaj, and it shows in every gallery. Sikh families return to us, and recommend us, because we treat every laav and every ardaas as it deserves.
We are London-based and travel across Greater London and the wider region for the Anand Karaj and every event around it. We are used to Sikh celebrations spread across several venues, and keep the day flowing from the milni to the langar.

Where we travel
We travel happily across Greater London and the neighbouring counties for the maiyan, the Anand Karaj and the doli alike. From London we reach Hillingdon easily, and we know the darbar sahib and langar halls of Greater London well.

Absolutely. The maiyan, mehndi and jaggo night are often where the warmest, most natural moments happen, and we are glad to cover them as part of your wedding.
Yes. A pre-wedding shoot is a lovely way to relax in front of the camera before the big day, and we are happy to arrange one at a location you love.
Yes. The morning milni, when the families meet, and the doli, when the bride departs, are among the most moving moments of the day, and we photograph both with warmth and sensitivity.
