Flash is out, stands are out, so exposure comes from whatever the hall's own fittings supply, held steady on a fast prime. Each restriction traces back to one question about where the attention in that room is owed, and Sri Guru Granth Sahib answers it.
A palla says the ceremony has properly started, and it photographs better than either face does: a strip of cloth linking two people describes the relationship without needing an expression. The four laavan then move slowly, sung by the whole hall, which leaves space to shift position between the rounds rather than mid-round. At ardas everybody stands together. That single movement rearranges the sightlines, and the back corners become somewhere worth standing.
