Serving Ickenham
Ickenham is a village-like Hillingdon suburb. Across South Ruislip, Uxbridge and the rest of Greater London, we cover the milni, the Anand Karaj and the reception with a careful eye. From the darbar sahib to the reception floor, we photograph the whole day with a calm, familiar presence.
We keep the calm of the kirtan and the exuberance of the reception in equal measure. We let the Anand Karaj unfold at its own pace and meet the four laavan with a quiet, watchful eye. Inside the gurdwara we never turn our back to the Guru Granth Sahib, shooting discreetly from the sides and the back.
We have photographed Sikh weddings throughout South Ruislip, Uxbridge for many years, and Ickenham, a village-like Hillingdon suburb, is a familiar and welcome destination. We also cover nearby Islington and Kensington and Chelsea. Close to Ickenham, we have worked at venues including The Fox, Qvardis and The Barn Hotel.
A village-like Hillingdon suburb with a working Victorian village pump of 1866 at its centre. Served by Ickenham tube station on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines. When there is time for couple portraits, Swakeleys Park is a favourite, and Swakeleys House, a Grade I listed Jacobean mansion makes a memorable setting.

What we offer
Beautifully bound albums designed around your favourite images of the four laavan and the milni.
For large gurdwara days, a second shooter covers the milni and the bridal prep at once.
We keep the calm of the darbar sahib and work quietly within gurdwara etiquette.
Every tradition
We know the order of the Anand Karaj by heart, from the kirtan to the ardaas and the four laavan. We keep our distance during the laavan and the prayers, and step in only for the joyful greetings. The kirtan and shabads that fill the gurdwara are as much a part of the story as the laavan themselves.
The pre-wedding events are often where the most natural photographs come from, and we give them full attention. The day often opens early with kirtan in the gurdwara, and we are there for it. We document the sagai and the engagement that begin the journey, when families ask us.

The whole celebration
We arrive in good time for each pre-wedding event and stay until the celebrations wind down. Many Sikh weddings begin days before with the maiyan, the mehndi and a jaggo night.
For the busiest days, a second photographer covers two moments at once, the milni and the bridal prep. Because gurdwaras often require an early finish, the Anand Karaj usually falls in the morning, and we plan for it.
Why choose us
We understand how much the four laavan mean, and we photograph the ceremony with the care it deserves. Couples choose us for our calm presence and our knowledge of every ritual, from the milni to the four laavan.
We are used to Sikh celebrations spread across several venues, and keep the day flowing from the milni to the langar. From our London base, Ickenham and the gurdwaras of Greater London are an easy, familiar journey.

Where we travel
We are London-based and travel across Greater London and the wider region for the Anand Karaj and every event around it. We are glad to discuss your gurdwara, your reception venue and the journey between them when you enquire.

Yes. We photograph Punjabi and Sikh weddings across the country and know the order of the milni, the sehra bandi, the choora, the four laavan and the doli.
Most Sikh weddings run from the morning maiyan or milni through to the reception, so full-day coverage works best. For multi-day celebrations we tailor the hours to your events.
Absolutely. We regularly cover the maiyan, mehndi, jaggo, the Anand Karaj and the reception in Ickenham, with additional photographers for the largest celebrations.
Very. We photograph the four laavan and the prayers from a respectful distance with quiet, long-lens work, seated with the sangat, so the Anand Karaj is never disturbed.
