The short answer
An award winning, London based wedding photographer, Kaushik Bathia has spent more than twenty five years photographing weddings in Ickenham and right across Greater London. From the first cup of morning tea to the last dance, we document the whole arc of your day, letting one moment lead naturally into the next. From intimate register office ceremonies to grand country house weddings, and from village churches to garden and marquee celebrations, we photograph every kind of wedding in and around Ickenham. Years of working in every kind of venue mean we understand how light behaves in a church, a marquee or a country house, and we plan our coverage accordingly. Engagement shoots, a second photographer for busier days and beautiful fine art albums are all part of what we offer, and we travel throughout Greater London and the rest of the UK for your wedding.
Serving Ickenham
Ickenham is a village-like Hillingdon suburb. From hotel weddings to barn celebrations and register office ceremonies, we photograph the full spread of venues in South Ruislip, Uxbridge and the wider Greater London. However your ceremony unfolds, in a chapel, a barn or a hotel garden room, we stay quietly at the edges and let the words and the looks between you speak for themselves.
We work in available light wherever we can, adding a soft flash only when a dark room needs it, so the images stay true to how the evening looked. We prefer honest to perfect, so we hold back from rearranging people or props and let the day look the way it really was as it happened. We stay observant and patient, waiting for expressions to arrive naturally rather than asking for them, which keeps the whole set feeling warm and unposed.
Over the years we have grown to know Ickenham and its venues. Ickenham is a village-like Hillingdon suburb, and we photograph weddings across the surrounding towns too, from Islington through to Kensington and Chelsea. Close to Ickenham, we have worked at venues including The Fox, Qvardis and The Barn Hotel.
A village-like Hillingdon suburb with a working Victorian village pump of 1866 at its centre. Served by Ickenham tube station on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines. For pre-wedding and couple portraits, we love spots such as Swakeleys Park, with Swakeleys House, a Grade I listed Jacobean mansion close by for a striking backdrop.

What we offer
We watch both the speaker and the table, so the laughter, the pauses and the quiet tears are all held.
The family groups are done kindly and briskly, worked out beforehand so nobody stands around waiting.
We photograph the day as it unfolds, watching for real moments rather than staging them, so your gallery feels honest.
Every kind of wedding
During the ceremony we work quietly with longer lenses, so whether you exchange vows in a church, a register office or a garden, we stay unobtrusive and miss nothing. We keep to the edges during the ceremony, using quiet cameras and natural light so your officiant, your guests and your vows are never interrupted. We photograph the exchange of promises gently, whether that happens at an altar, before a registrar or beneath an arch of flowers, so the pictures feel like the moment itself.
From the buttonholes being pinned to the sparklers at the door, we follow the surrounding events of the day and treat each one as part of the same story. The cutting of the cake and the first dance often draw the whole room in, and we photograph them from within the crowd so the pictures feel shared. Between the set pieces there are portraits of just the two of you, and we keep those short and natural so you can slip back to the party quickly.

The whole celebration
Multi part weddings ask for careful planning, and we agree the key moments across each gathering in advance so nothing important slips past unseen. We can photograph both of you preparing in separate rooms, then bring the two halves of the morning together in one clear part of your gallery.
We read how the day is going and step back when it needs room, then come closer for the moments that ask to be kept. Some of the pictures you treasure most will be the small ones between events, so we stay present through the whole day and never switch off in the quiet stretches.
Why choose us
Trust is built on evidence, and between the awards, the albums and the long list of couples before you, there is plenty to reassure you before you book. Years of working in every kind of venue mean we understand how light behaves in a church, a marquee or a country house, and we plan our coverage accordingly.
From our London base we travel across Greater London and beyond, and multi-venue days are never a problem; we plan the route and timings in advance. Rural lanes, tricky parking and out-of-the-way estates hold no fear for us; we have driven to weddings in every part of Greater London.

Where we travel
When a day is spread out or the drive is a long one, a second photographer can travel with us so coverage across Greater London stays unbroken. Whether your day stays close to South Ruislip, Uxbridge or spreads across Greater London, we plan the logistics so the coverage flows without gaps.

Good to know
Yes, and we encourage it. After twenty-five years and more than a thousand weddings, we know how long each part really takes, from getting ready to the first dance. We are glad to review your draft schedule and suggest small adjustments, so the day flows and the photography never feels squeezed.
Of course. A wedding runs on teamwork, so we liaise happily with your planner, venue coordinator, celebrant, videographer and band to keep the day flowing. We stay aware of the schedule and step back for key moments like the ceremony and speeches, so everyone gets what they need without treading on each other.
Look for a full gallery from real weddings rather than a few standout shots, a style that feels natural to you, and someone you warm to when you meet. Experience matters most on the day itself, when timings slip and the light changes. We have photographed more than a thousand weddings since 2001, so very little takes us by surprise.
Popular dates, especially in summer and around bank holidays, can be taken a year or more ahead, so earlier is always safer. That said, if your Ickenham wedding is sooner, do still ask, as we sometimes have dates free at shorter notice. A quick call is the fastest way to find out.
For most weddings within a reasonable distance, travel is included and there is nothing extra to think about. For venues much further afield, or where an overnight stay is sensible, we may add a small contribution towards costs, which we will always agree with you beforehand. There are never any hidden fees.
Yes, as much as you need. For portraits we offer simple, friendly prompts about where to stand and what to do with your hands, so you never feel stranded in front of the lens. The rest of the day needs almost nothing from you, because we work quietly around the celebration as it unfolds.
Almost certainly. We photograph at every kind of venue, from country houses and barns to hotels, register offices and places of worship in and around Ickenham. If we have not worked there before we research the space and, where possible, visit or arrive early to read the light and plan the key shots.
