The short answer
Kaushik Bathia is an award winning wedding photographer based in London, photographing weddings in Uxbridge and throughout Greater London for over twenty five years and more than a thousand celebrations. You will barely notice us at work, and that is the point; we move calmly around the day so the pictures show how it actually felt, not how it was arranged. We cover every kind of wedding in Uxbridge, from church, civil and register office ceremonies to country houses, barns, marquees, hotels and garden venues, as well as multicultural and fusion celebrations. We finish every wedding into hand made, fine-art albums, a craft we have refined over many years so your collection is something to pass on. A second photographer, relaxed engagement shoots and hand finished fine art albums are all available, and we travel across Greater London and the wider UK so distance is never a problem.
Serving Uxbridge
Uxbridge is a west London town and the civic heart of Hillingdon. Hotels, marquees, barns and historic churches each ask for a slightly different eye, and we bring all of it to weddings throughout Greater London, Ickenham, Hillingdon included. We understand that every ceremony has its own rhythm, so we read the room, keep our movement minimal and photograph the vows as they truly happen.
We read the light in each room and work with what the day gives us, favouring window light and shade over anything that draws attention to a camera. We treat every wedding as its own story, so nothing is forced into a formula and the pictures reflect your people, your setting and your mood. We work in available light wherever we can, adding a soft flash only when a dark room needs it, so the images stay true to how the evening looked.
Weddings take us to Uxbridge more often than you might think. Uxbridge is a west London town and the civic heart of Hillingdon, and we are just as happy photographing couples in the neighbouring Waltham Forest and Wandsworth. We are at home at Uxbridge-area venues such as Abshar Banqueting and Denham Grove.
A west London town and the civic heart of Hillingdon, with a busy shopping centre and long RAF heritage. Terminus of the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines at Uxbridge Underground station. For portraits away from the celebration, Fassnidge Park with its boating lake, playground and green open space works beautifully, and The Battle of Britain Bunker at the former RAF Uxbridge site adds a real sense of place.

What we offer
We work quietly and calmly in the background, guiding when needed but never taking over your day.
A relaxed shoot before the wedding lets us get to know each other and helps you feel at ease on the day.
We photograph the day as it unfolds, watching for real moments rather than staging them, so your gallery feels honest.
Every kind of wedding
Some couples marry quietly with a handful of witnesses and others before a full congregation, and we adapt our approach so the coverage suits the scale of your ceremony. Whether you marry in a church, a register office or under a canopy in a country garden, we photograph the vows discreetly and with real respect for the setting. In Uxbridge and beyond, we have photographed ceremonies of every kind, and that experience means we anticipate each moment rather than chase it.
Between the ceremony and the meal, the drinks reception is where the day breathes, and we move through it gathering the warmth and the conversation. Group shots need not be stiff, and we keep them relaxed and quick, gathering families in good humour so nobody stands about waiting in the sun. The evening brings a different mood, and we adjust our lighting so the dancing, the singing and the late laughter all come through with warmth and life.

The whole celebration
The morning sets the emotional tone, and we photograph it gently, catching a parent's proud look or a friend fastening a difficult button. For families marking the days ahead of the wedding, we can be there for the henna, the prayers and the shared meals that lead up to it.
The finished collection should feel like living the day again in order, so we cover each stage with the same attention and let the story flow. We pace ourselves to the day, not the shot list, so the finished gallery moves naturally from the morning through to the party.
Why choose us
Steadiness under pressure is earned, not claimed, and a thousand weddings of practice is why we stay calm when a moment arrives only once. Our long track record gives couples confidence that we will turn up prepared, work through the whole day, and deliver the pictures we promised on time.
We travel widely for weddings and think nothing of a longer drive to reach venues in and around Ickenham, Hillingdon and the broader Greater London. When a day is spread out or the drive is a long one, a second photographer can travel with us so coverage across Greater London stays unbroken.

Where we travel
Rural lanes, tricky parking and out-of-the-way estates hold no fear for us; we have driven to weddings in every part of Greater London. A day that moves between two or three venues asks for careful timing, and we sort the route and the schedule well before we leave for Ickenham, Hillingdon.

Good to know
It depends on your plans, though most couples choose coverage from the morning preparations through to the first dance, which is around eight to ten hours. If you would like us there for only part of the day, that is absolutely fine too. Tell us your timings and we will suggest what fits your Uxbridge celebration.
Yes. Where a moment suits it, we prepare a considered black and white version alongside the colour edit, usually for strong light, emotion or reportage frames. You are not charged extra for this. The full gallery is delivered in colour, with black and white used where it genuinely adds something.
Price matters, of course, but the photographs will outlast the day itself, so style and trust should come first. Choose someone whose work genuinely moves you and who you feel comfortable with, then find a package that fits. Your wedding cannot be photographed again, so it is worth getting this one decision right.
Rain is no reason to worry, and some of our favourite images come from wet days. We scout indoor backdrops and covered spots in advance, keep a few clear umbrellas ready and adapt the timing so portraits happen during any dry window. British weather rarely ruins a day, and it often adds atmosphere.
Absolutely. Whether you are marrying with a handful of guests in Uxbridge or hosting a large celebration, we bring the same care and attention. Smaller weddings often have a lovely closeness to them, and we adapt our coverage and hours to suit the scale of your day rather than applying a one-size approach.
Full day coverage typically produces between 500 and 700 finished images, though the exact number depends on your guest count, the schedule and how much is happening. We do not pad the gallery with near-duplicates. Every photo you receive has been chosen and edited, so you get the best of the day.
Yes, we travel across Greater London and the wider UK, and we would be glad to photograph your wedding in Uxbridge. We have worked at venues of every kind, from country houses to city hotels, so a new location is never a worry for us. Just let us know where you are marrying and we will be there.
