Serving Uxbridge
Commercial photography for Uxbridge businesses happens at your premises, whether that is a unit in the shopping centre, a town centre office, or somewhere further out towards Cowley, Denham and West Drayton.
Retailers, professional firms and the borough's civic organisations account for most of this work. The technical point that matters is mixed lighting: ceiling fittings throw one colour, the shopfront or window throws another, and skin caught between the two lands somewhere unhelpful. We carry lighting strong enough to overrule both, and that single decision fixes complexion, stock colour and the walls in one move. That one correction separates premises that look inviting from premises that look municipal.

What we offer
Team portraits, interiors and working pictures made on your Uxbridge premises, around trading hours rather than against them.
Mixed shop and office lighting corrected on site, so faces and stock both hold their proper colour.
Licensed files supplied at web and at print resolution, with settings noted so later sessions still match.
Twenty-five years behind the lens
A visit starts with a walk round the space to choose the frames worth making, then follows an agreed list so nothing is remembered afterwards in a panic. Trading carries on around us and we move quickly to stay out of the way.
Files come licensed for your own marketing use, prepared at one size for the website and another for printing. The difference here is that every setting is noted, so an addition made next year still matches this year's set.

Good to know
Earlier than feels necessary, mainly because the date tends to be set by your trading pattern rather than ours. A Uxbridge shop is photographed during its quietest stretch, an office around whoever is actually in that week, so the slot depends on your calendar more than on our availability. If a deadline exists, say so at the outset and we will work backwards from it.
Yes, and photographing the whole team on one visit is what makes them match. Everybody stands against the same background tone with the lights in the same places, and that is what stops a staff page looking like a collection of unrelated pictures. We can attend your premises or bring people over to Northwood, whichever costs the working day less.
Yes. We look after the styling, the props and any simple set-building for product and food shoots, so your goods and dishes are shown to their best advantage. Have particular props or branded items in mind? Bring them along and we will build them into the shots. Outdoors in Uxbridge we would head for Fassnidge Park with its boating lake, playground and green open space.
Frequently the larger half of a Uxbridge job, yes: the shopfront, the interior as a customer first meets it, and the team working inside it. We light interiors ourselves instead of trusting the ceiling fittings, which is what stops walls going green and stock going orange. Empty rooms first, then the same rooms with people in them.
Usually, yes. For most Uxbridge businesses we plan the running order ahead of time, so an entire range is lit and photographed consistently in one visit. With very large catalogues we might suggest a second session, but we always try to keep costs and disruption low.
Serving Uxbridge
Our studio is in Northwood, so Uxbridge (UB8) is part of our core Greater London area. It sits close to Ickenham and Hillingdon, which we cover too. Sessions run at the studio or on location in Uxbridge, and there is no travel charge for local bookings.
A west London town and the civic heart of Hillingdon, with a busy shopping centre and long RAF heritage. Terminus of the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines at Uxbridge Underground station. The Battle of Britain Bunker at the former RAF Uxbridge site is a well-known local landmark in the area.

Commercial work in Uxbridge splits between retail units in and around the shopping centre, offices attached to the borough's civic business, and the heritage side of the town, where the Battle of Britain Bunker occupies the former RAF site. Each carries its own lighting fault. Shop interiors are illuminated to sell stock, not to describe faces: hard display strips overhead, a shopfront pouring daylight in at one end, a gloomy back wall at the other, and two or three colours of light sharing the same room. Our approach is to kill what can be killed, light the people ourselves, and leave the display lighting doing what it was installed to do, which is glowing behind the subject. Access dictates the timetable more than any other factor. A shop cannot be cleared of customers mid-trade, so photography happens at the quiet edges, and we work quickly in one aisle before shifting to the next. Civic offices present the opposite difficulty: floor space in abundance, no usable window light, and a ceiling grid washing everything into the same flat grey, which means treating the room as an empty shell and supplying the light ourselves. A period interior is the third case: the room is the subject, so our light has to sit inside it without announcing itself. Making a team match is more of a clerical job than a photographic one. Height, distance, background tone and modifier positions are written into the file on day one and kept there, so a manager photographed months afterwards joins the existing row without the join being visible to anybody reading the page.
