Serving Uxbridge
Business portraits for Uxbridge, whether people live here or work here, are made either in Northwood, a straightforward hop back along the line, or at your premises anywhere in the borough, taking in Denham, Cowley and West Drayton.
The people booking are largely council and administrative staff, professionals from the town centre offices, and independents running retail units. The craft detail that matters most is background tone. A staff directory template usually wants something pale and untextured, while a personal site can carry a darker, deeper background, and the two need different lighting, so it is worth saying which one you need.

What we offer
Studio headshots in Northwood, an easy run from Uxbridge, or on-site sessions at your offices across the borough.
Plain-background directory portraits and richer, darker versions for personal sites, both produced within a single sitting.
Retouching limited to the temporary: a blemish goes, and the actual face you turned up with stays.
Twenty-five years behind the lens
Every sitter gets a few minutes to settle before anything counts, because the opening frames are almost never the keepers. We then work through the crops your platforms genuinely need, cropped close for a profile picture and left wider where a website needs space for a headline.
You receive retouched files at two resolutions, along with the lighting notes taken during the sitting, which is what allows a colleague photographed next spring to sit alongside everybody else without looking pasted in.

Good to know
Yes, and across Uxbridge that is how most of this work happens. The requirement is a run of uncluttered wall and enough space to stand back from it; a meeting room is usually ideal, an open-plan corner workable. We arrive with lights, stands and a collapsible backdrop, so the room's own ceiling fittings and their colour cast stop being anybody's problem.
Because we sit in the same borough and on the same railway, so the plan is settled rather than improvised. Sittings happen at The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6, where the light is built from scratch and repeatable, or at your own Uxbridge address where we supply it. Either way, background tone and crop are agreed before anybody stands in front of a lens.
Yes. The town falls comfortably inside our normal coverage, alongside West Drayton, Denham and Cowley on identical terms. One visit can take in a whole department, a couple of partners, or a single person who has been putting it off for years. Tell us the head count in advance so the visit is the right length and we bring enough kit.
During the sitting you look through the frames with us and pick your favourites, which we go on to retouch. A standard booking usually gives you one or two finished images, while personal-branding and team packages come with more selects for their broader use. Landmarks we can work with near Uxbridge include The Battle of Britain Bunker at the former RAF Uxbridge site.
Often, yes, particularly at the Northwood end, since getting there from Uxbridge needs no planning and a late gap in the diary is easy to use. On your own premises it depends on the room being free. A retail unit is the trickier case, because photography has to sit around trading, so the shop's quiet stretch decides the slot rather than our diary.
Serving Uxbridge
Our studio is in Northwood, so Uxbridge (UB8) is part of our core Greater London area. It sits close to Ickenham and Hillingdon, which we cover too. Sessions run at the studio or on location in Uxbridge, and there is no travel charge for local bookings.
A west London town and the civic heart of Hillingdon, with a busy shopping centre and long RAF heritage. Terminus of the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines at Uxbridge Underground station. The Battle of Britain Bunker at the former RAF Uxbridge site is a well-known local landmark in the area.

Uxbridge is where the Metropolitan line stops, and Northwood sits further back along that same line, which is the plain reason business portraits booked here tend to be made at the studio rather than the reverse. There is no route to work out, no parking decision, and no arriving already annoyed, so the sitting drops into a gap between other commitments instead of consuming a morning. That is worth more than it appears, because the usual obstacle to a decent working portrait is not money or nerve, it is the faff of arranging one. Who books shapes what the photograph must do. The town is the civic centre of Hillingdon as well as a large retail destination, so the work divides between people in public-sector and administrative roles, who need something plain that will drop into a staff directory without argument, and people running shops and independent businesses, who want a little more air around the head for their own site. Those are two different crops from the same lighting, so we make both while everything is still set up rather than picking one and regretting it. A directory picture is judged at the size of a postage stamp, where only the eyes and the outline of the head survive the shrinking, and that governs how tight we frame. Anything looser can be cut later; nothing loose can be invented from a crop that was made too close in the first place.
