The short answer
Kaushik Bathia has photographed weddings across Greater London for over twenty five years, and couples in Redbridge choose him for calm, natural coverage backed by more than a thousand weddings and five European Gold awards. You will barely notice us at work, and that is the point; we move calmly around the day so the pictures show how it actually felt, not how it was arranged. Whatever your wedding looks like in Redbridge, a church service, a register office, a country house, a barn or a hotel, and whatever your traditions, we photograph the whole day as it happens. Experience means we anticipate what is coming next, so we are ready for the tears during the vows and the laughter in the room before either arrives. Engagement shoots, a second photographer for busier days and beautiful fine art albums are all part of what we offer, and we travel throughout Greater London and the rest of the UK for your wedding.
Serving Redbridge
Redbridge is a green outer east London borough. Our couples marry in village churches, converted barns, marquees and elegant hotels right across Greater London, and we know many of the venues around Newham, Havering well. Whether the setting is a grand nave or a simple garden marquee, we work with the available light and the sightlines to record the ceremony honestly.
Our style is documentary at heart; we watch for the glances, the laughter and the quiet pauses, then let those moments become the story of your day. A relaxed portrait session is woven gently into the day, timed around the best light, so you get a short breather together and a few frames to keep forever. Our eyes are always on the reactions, the parents watching, the friends laughing, because those unguarded moments are what you will want to look back on.
The area around Redbridge has become familiar territory for us. Redbridge is a green outer east London borough, and our coverage carries on into nearby Richmond upon Thames and Ruislip Manor without missing a beat. Redbridge and the towns around it offer venues such as The Willows, Crown Banqueting Suite and The Grove Banqueting, all familiar to us.
A green outer east London borough formed in 1965 from Ilford and Wanstead and Woodford. Served by Redbridge station on the London Underground Central line, with nearby Gants Hill also on the Central line. We often take couples to Valentines Park, a Green Flag park of around 130 acres, the borough's largest green space for a few quiet portraits, and Valentines Mansion, a restored house dating from around 1696 in Ilford is a lovely backdrop nearby.

What we offer
We work quietly and keep out of the way, so guests forget we are there and the day feels like your own.
The family groups are done kindly and briskly, worked out beforehand so nobody stands around waiting.
We keep family and group shots efficient and good humoured, so you are back with your guests within minutes.
Every kind of wedding
For a service of any faith or none, we dress and behave respectfully, learn the shape of the day in advance and stay unobtrusive throughout the vows. We understand that every ceremony has its own rhythm, so we read the room, keep our movement minimal and photograph the vows as they truly happen. The look you give each other as the words are spoken is often the picture you keep longest, and we are ready for it however your ceremony is arranged.
The confetti line, the receiving line and the toasts each have their own small drama, and we are ready for all of them without asking anyone to pose. We photograph the cake, the first dance and the evening party with an easy touch, so the celebration keeps its energy while we quietly gather the pictures. Preparations, portraits, the meal and the party each get their share of our attention, and we pace ourselves so no part of the celebration is thinly covered.

The whole celebration
Multi part weddings ask for careful planning, and we agree the key moments across each gathering in advance so nothing important slips past unseen. We build the timeline around the light as well as the schedule, so portraits and early moments fall when the day looks its most flattering.
We take care that the calm and the joyful sit side by side in your gallery, so the finished story holds the full range of how the day felt. We balance the coverage as we go, checking that the small hours of the morning are not lost behind the noise of the evening.
Why choose us
Years of experience have taught us to plan for the things that can go wrong and to carry the spare gear that means they never reach you. Our long track record means references are easy to come by and albums easy to show, so you can see exactly the standard your day will be photographed to.
Multi-location days, with a ceremony in one place and a reception in another, are something we plan carefully, whether that is within Newham, Havering or across Greater London. From our London base we travel across Greater London and beyond, and multi-venue days are never a problem; we plan the route and timings in advance.

Where we travel
A second photographer can join us when travel or a split-venue day calls for it, so coverage across Newham, Havering and Greater London stays seamless. From preparations at home to a reception miles away, we keep pace across Newham, Havering and the wider Greater London without missing a moment.

Good to know
Absolutely. Our style is largely documentary, so we tell the story of your day as it naturally unfolds, without lots of stiff posing. We will still gather the handful of family groups you would like, then step back and let the day breathe. You should feel present at your own wedding, not managed through it.
Yes, we ask for a booking fee when you confirm, which reserves your date in our diary and comes off your total balance. The remaining amount is then due a few weeks before the wedding. We will set everything out clearly in writing, so you always know exactly where you stand.
Yes. Redbridge and the wider Greater London area are well within our usual coverage, and we travel across the UK for weddings with no surprise travel cost added on. We like to discuss your venues and the route between them in advance, so the timings work and the day runs to plan.
Yes, and we encourage it. We are happy to meet in person or over a video call to talk through your plans, your venues and the moments you most want captured. Meeting beforehand means you are working with familiar faces on the day itself, which helps everyone feel relaxed when the cameras come out.
Weddings often drift a little, and we are relaxed about that. If you would like us to stay past the agreed finish time, we can usually add extra hours on the day, and we will let you know the cost before we carry on. We would much rather stay than miss a memorable moment.
We offer engagement shoots and many couples find them a lovely warm-up before the wedding. It is a relaxed hour or two that lets us get to know one another, so you feel at ease in front of the camera on the day. The images are yours to use for save-the-dates or simply to enjoy.
We are happy to travel further afield for a destination wedding and have photographed couples in some beautiful settings. We will talk through travel, accommodation, and timings with you, so everything is clear and settled well before you fly. Photographing weddings away from home is one of the real joys of what we do.
