The short answer
An award winning, London based wedding photographer, Kaushik Bathia has spent more than twenty five years photographing weddings in Hillingdon and right across Greater London. We read a room before we lift the camera, learning where the warmth is and letting the true character of your day come through in the images. Whatever your wedding looks like in Hillingdon, a church service, a register office, a country house, a barn or a hotel, and whatever your traditions, we photograph the whole day as it happens. Register offices, marquees in fields and hotel ballrooms with no windows at all have all featured over twenty-five years, and each type asks for a different plan made before arrival. A second photographer, relaxed engagement shoots and hand finished fine art albums are all available, and we travel across Greater London and the wider UK so distance is never a problem.
London's second-largest borough sits on the western edge and takes in Uxbridge and much of Heathrow, which means distances inside it are larger than most London weddings assume. The Barn Hotel, Abshar Banqueting, The Cavendish, Hillingdon Golf Club and Stockley Park Golf Club are spread accordingly, and two of them are golf clubs, where open fairway light in the evening is the best asset the day has. Hillingdon Court Park is the straightforward portrait option when a venue has no grounds of its own. The Battle of Britain Bunker at the former RAF Uxbridge gives the borough its landmark. Hillingdon (Swakeleys) and Uxbridge tube stations serve the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines with the A40 Western Avenue nearby, so guests from Ruislip, Cowley and West Drayton arrive easily. Given how far apart the venues sit, the transfer time is the number worth settling first.
Serving Hillingdon
Hillingdon is London's second-largest borough, on the western edge. Grand estates, garden marquees, hotel ballrooms and quiet parish churches all appear in the weddings we shoot around Uxbridge, Hayes and across Greater London. From the moment the doors open to the confetti afterwards, we treat the ceremony as the heart of the day and photograph it with patience and care.
Between courses there is a natural lull when guests wander outside, and that is often when the loveliest unguarded photographs of the day are quietly available. We photograph in a documentary way, recording the day as a story from the morning preparations through to the last dance, with as little interference as possible. Our documentary instinct means we are often looking where others are not, catching the reaction behind the speech and the smile just after the vows.
The area around Hillingdon has become familiar territory for us. Hillingdon is London's second-largest borough, on the western edge, and our coverage carries on into nearby Uxbridge and Ickenham without missing a beat. Venues we have photographed at near Hillingdon include The Barn Hotel, Abshar Banqueting and The Cavendish.

What we offer
We keep family and group shots efficient and good humoured, so you are back with your guests within minutes.
We work quietly and keep out of the way, so guests forget we are there and the day feels like your own.
A relaxed pre-wedding shoot lets us get to know each other and helps you feel at ease in front of the camera.
Every kind of wedding
Your ceremony sets the tone for everything that follows, so we photograph it faithfully and quietly, letting the vows and the setting carry the story. Some couples marry quietly with a handful of witnesses and others before a full congregation, and we adapt our approach so the coverage suits the scale of your ceremony. Signing the register is almost always a re-enactment for the camera, and we keep it to two frames rather than the long staged sequence that used to be standard.
We photograph the arrivals, the confetti and the drinks that follow, giving the reception the same care we bring to the ceremony itself. We handle the group photographs briskly and kindly, keeping the list short so you are not pulled away from your guests for longer than you need to be. Children's entertainment, garden games and a quiet room all produce photographs that a formal schedule never does, and we let ourselves drift towards them between fixed moments.

The whole celebration
Pre-wedding shoots and welcome events let us meet your closest people early, which means fewer strangers behind the camera when the wedding itself arrives. Getting-ready coverage of both partners in different locations needs either two photographers or a deliberate choice about which one we start with, and that decision is best made months ahead.
By the evening most guests have stopped performing for cameras, which is exactly when the honest photographs of your friends become available, and it would be a shame to have left. If you want photographs of the venue lit at night, that takes five minutes and needs to be flagged, since it happens after most coverage would otherwise have ended.
Why choose us
Our long track record means references are easy to come by and albums easy to show, so you can see exactly the standard your day will be photographed to. The most useful thing twenty-five years buys you is knowing what to abandon. When a day runs an hour late, the family groups shrink and the couple portraits stay.
Because we have photographed in so many corners of Greater London, we usually know the venue, the light and the parking before we even set off for Uxbridge, Hayes. Our base is London, and travelling to Greater London is offered as part of the service rather than treated as an obstacle; the practical questions are parking, access and arrival time.

Where we travel
Getting to your venue is our responsibility, not yours, and we regularly cover weddings right across Greater London and beyond. We are happy to follow you wherever the celebration leads, and venues throughout Greater London are all comfortably within our reach.

Good to know
For most weddings within a reasonable distance, travel is included and there is nothing extra to consider. When a venue sits much further afield, or an overnight stay makes sense, we may add a small contribution towards costs, and we always agree that with you in advance. There are never any hidden fees with us. Locally in Hillingdon that takes in The Battle of Britain Bunker at the former RAF Uxbridge.
A handful of preview images usually reaches you within about a week, and your complete gallery follows a few weeks on, though the exact timing shifts with the time of year. Editing each photograph by hand is not instant, yet we appreciate how eager you are after your Hillingdon wedding, so we never leave you hanging unnecessarily.
We do. Each booking is backed by a straightforward written contract that spells out the inclusions, the hours of coverage, the price and the payment dates. Having it in writing protects you as much as us and leaves no room for misunderstanding later. Ask us anything at all before you put pen to paper and we will happily explain. We cover Hillingdon and nearby Ruislip, Cowley and West Drayton.
We design the first draft ourselves, selecting and ordering the images so the album reads as a story rather than a random scatter of photos. You then look over the proof and ask for any changes until it feels right. Nothing is printed until you have signed off the final design, so the outcome stays firmly in your hands. For outdoor photographs in Hillingdon we often use Hillingdon Court Park.
Most couples choose full coverage from the morning preparations through to the first dance, all of their edited high-resolution images, and a private online gallery to share with family and friends. You can add a second photographer, an engagement shoot or one of our hand-finished fine-art albums. We will tailor the details to the Hillingdon day you have in mind.
Yes, gladly. A close gathering of a few guests in Hillingdon receives every bit as much care from us as a grand affair would. There is a real warmth to intimate weddings, and we tailor both our hours and our coverage to match the size of your celebration instead of applying a rigid, one-size template.
Yes, it is genuinely one of the most valuable parts of our service. With your ceremony time and your plans around Hillingdon in front of us, we help you build in enough room for portraits and groups without borrowing time from your guests. A carefully judged timeline is the difference between a frantic day and an easy, flowing one.
