The short answer
Kaushik Bathia is an award winning wedding photographer based in London, photographing weddings in the City of London and throughout Greater London for over twenty five years and more than a thousand celebrations. Rather than directing every scene, we let your day breathe and photograph it as it happens, stepping in gently only when a group shot needs a little order. We cover every kind of wedding in the City of London, from church, civil and register office ceremonies to country houses, barns, marquees, hotels and garden venues, as well as multicultural and fusion celebrations. Having covered a thousand celebrations, we know where to stand for the confetti, the first dance and the speeches, so the key moments are never missed. A second photographer, relaxed engagement shoots and hand finished fine art albums are all available, and we travel across Greater London and the wider UK so distance is never a problem.
Serving the City of London
the City of London is the historic financial heart of the capital. Whether you choose a register office, a barn, a country house or a hotel, we photograph across Greater London and know the area around Camden, Islington closely. Some couples marry quietly with a handful of witnesses and others before a full congregation, and we adapt our approach so the coverage suits the scale of your ceremony.
We give couples space to enjoy their own wedding, gathering the images around you rather than pulling you out of the moment for the sake of a shot. Rather than lining people up, we let groups form on their own and photograph them as they laugh and talk, keeping the whole thing loose and relaxed. During the quiet stretches we keep looking for the details you arranged, the flowers, the notes, the table settings, and fit them in without slowing anything down.
We feel at home photographing weddings in the City of London. the City of London is the historic financial heart of the capital, and our work reaches out across the neighbouring towns of Eastcote and Enfield and the county around them. the City of London and the towns around it offer venues such as Merchant Taylors' Hall, Painters' Hall and Ironmongers' Hall, all familiar to us.
The City of London is the capital's historic financial district, known as the Square Mile and governed by the City of London Corporation. Served by Bank and Liverpool Street stations, with the Central, Northern, Circle and Elizabeth lines all running through it. For relaxed couple photographs, we like Postman's Park, a quiet green space near St Paul's with mature trees and benches, and St Paul's Cathedral, designed by Sir Christopher Wren gives the day a strong sense of the City of London.

What we offer
Chosen frames can become prints for the wall, sized and finished so a favourite moment stays in view.
We help you build a photography timeline that gives room for portraits without cutting into time with your guests.
We work quietly and calmly in the background, guiding when needed but never taking over your day.
Every kind of wedding
We time our movements to yours, staying still through the readings and the promises, then finding the right spot for the first kiss as a married couple. Whether the setting is a grand nave or a simple garden marquee, we work with the available light and the sightlines to record the ceremony honestly. From the moment the doors open to the confetti afterwards, we treat the ceremony as the heart of the day and photograph it with patience and care.
Preparations, portraits, the meal and the party each get their share of our attention, and we pace ourselves so no part of the celebration is thinly covered. The first dance is yours alone for a moment, and we photograph it from the edges, letting the room and its faces frame you naturally. Between the ceremony and the meal, the drinks reception is where the day breathes, and we move through it gathering the warmth and the conversation.

The whole celebration
A pre-wedding shoot in the weeks beforehand doubles as a rehearsal for the camera, so the getting ready on the day already feels comfortable and familiar. We tend to arrive while the flowers are still being set out, so the first frames show the day before anyone has touched it.
We shape the coverage so the mood shifts gradually, from the still morning through the ceremony and into the noise and warmth of the evening. Steady coverage from start to finish means you can look back and follow the day exactly as it happened, from the first arrival to the fond goodnights.
Why choose us
From engagement shoots through to the finished album, we guide you through each stage with the ease that comes from having done this for well over two decades. After a quarter of a century of weddings, we stay calm when timings change, which they often do, and we adjust without any fuss reaching you or your guests.
From our London base we travel across Greater London and beyond, and multi-venue days are never a problem; we plan the route and timings in advance. Travel is simply part of the job for us, and a venue tucked away in Greater London is one we will reach comfortably with time to spare.

Where we travel
Wherever the celebration takes you, we come along, covering venues throughout Camden, Islington and right across Greater London without a fuss. We would rather arrive early and relaxed than cut it fine, so we set off in good time for weddings anywhere in Greater London and the counties beyond.

Good to know
You will usually see a small preview within a week or so, and your full online gallery follows a few weeks after the wedding, depending on the time of year. Every image is edited by hand, which takes a little time, but we know you are eager to relive the day and we never leave you waiting unduly.
Yes. Where a moment suits it, we prepare a considered black and white version alongside the colour edit, usually for strong light, emotion or reportage frames. You are not charged extra for this. The full gallery is delivered in colour, with black and white used where it genuinely adds something.
Weddings often drift a little, and we are relaxed about that. If you would like us to stay past the agreed finish time, we can usually add extra hours on the day, and we will let you know the cost before we carry on. We would much rather stay than miss a memorable moment.
We deliver finished, high-resolution JPEGs rather than raw files, because editing is part of the craft you are booking and the look we are known for. Raw frames are unprocessed and not representative of the final work. If you have a particular use in mind, talk to us and we will find a sensible way to help.
Yes, every booking comes with a clear written agreement that sets out what is included, the hours of coverage, the costs, and the payment dates. It protects both of us and means there is no confusion later on. We will happily answer any questions before you sign, so you feel completely comfortable.
We know plans can change, so if you need to move your date we will always do our best to accommodate you, subject to our availability on the new day. Please let us know as soon as you can, and we will look after you. We aim to be as flexible and understanding as we possibly can.
We know a wedding brings many costs together at the same time, so we are glad to arrange a simple payment plan. Most couples pay the booking fee up front, then settle the balance in a couple of instalments before the day. Just let us know what works for you and we will do our best to help.
