Serving the City of London

Photographing Hindu weddings in the City of London

the City of London is the historic financial heart of the capital. We regularly photograph Hindu weddings throughout Camden, Islington and the surrounding part of Greater London. We photograph at temples, mandaps and banqueting halls right across Greater London.

We keep the calm of the mandap and the energy of the reception in equal measure. Our approach is relaxed and documentary, so you can be present in your own wedding. We arrive early, stay late and keep pace with every part of the celebration.

We know the City of London and the surrounding part of Greater London well, having photographed Hindu weddings throughout Camden, Islington. We are often in nearby Eastcote and Enfield too. Local Hindu wedding venues we know near the City of London include Merchant Taylors' Hall, Painters' Hall and Ironmongers' Hall.

The City of London is the capital's historic financial district, known as the Square Mile and governed by the City of London Corporation. Served by Bank and Liverpool Street stations, with the Central, Northern, Circle and Elizabeth lines all running through it. We often take couples to Postman's Park, a quiet green space near St Paul's with mature trees and benches for a few quiet portraits, and St Paul's Cathedral, designed by Sir Christopher Wren is a lovely backdrop nearby.

Every tradition

At home with Hindu wedding tradition

The saptapadi, the seven steps the couple take together, seals the marriage, and we photograph it with reverence. We keep our distance during the most solemn moments and step in only for the joyful ones. The varmala and the madhuparka each have their place, and we capture them as they happen.

The pre-wedding events are often where the most natural photographs come from, and we give them full attention. We photograph the milni, when the two families meet, with all of its warmth. The mehndi night, the sangeet and the haldi each carry their own mood, and we photograph them all.
