We take the time beforehand to understand your family's customs and the order of the maiyan, mehndi and jaggo. We photograph the sacred and the joyful with equal care, the Anand Karaj as faithfully as the bhangra. We arrive early for the gurdwara start, stay through the doli and keep pace with the reception.

From maiyan to doli

Before the ceremony the groom's sehra is tied, and we photograph the sehra bandi with a gentle eye. We photograph the choora and kaleere given to the bride, and the quiet blessings of her elders. The langar that follows the ceremony, shared by the whole sangat, is a moment of community we capture with warmth.

The pre-wedding events are often where the most natural photographs come from, and we give them full attention. The doli, when the bride leaves her family home, is the most tender moment of the day. The day often opens early with kirtan in the gurdwara, and we are there for it.
