Dog sessions happen where the dog already goes, which in Wembley could be King Edward VII Park or a garden, with Preston, Tokyngton and Stonebridge treated identically. Cats and rabbits never travel anywhere at all; we come to the room they already live in, work quietly, and photograph them there rather than moving them.
The craft point is attention rather than light. A squeaky toy works properly twice, so it stays in a pocket until the frame we actually want is built and lit, and one unfamiliar whistle outperforms every noise the animal has already learned to ignore at home.

- Fryent Country Park (Fryent Way, NW9 9SE) covers 103 hectares of traditional Middlesex countryside and is a designated nature reserve, with Barn Hill rising to 86 m and the Capital Ring footpath crossing it. 3
- One Tree Hill Recreation Ground on Norton Road (HA0 4QS) is popular with dog walkers and has views from the top towards Harrow on the Hill, Wembley and central London, plus a wildlife area and a playground. 4

Absolutely. A nervous cat just needs time, and there is plenty of it. The studio is kept quiet, the cat is left to explore, and we start only once it seems curious. A timid animal shows its character when it is not rushed.
Not at all; lively dogs are completely normal. We let an energetic dog play and photograph it in the pauses. Outdoors, a running or jumping dog makes a good action shot as well. A good pet portrait does not need a still animal.
Plan on an hour at the park, of which perhaps twenty-five minutes is actual photography. Dogs concentrate in bursts of a couple of minutes, then need to go and sniff something, and pushing past that point produces flat ears in every frame. We stop when the pictures stop improving, not when a clock says so. Older animals at home usually need less.

Our Northwood studio is about 6 miles from Wembley, so pets in HA0 and HA9 are within our core area. It sits close to Brent and Harrow, which we cover too. Pet sessions happen at the studio or outdoors in Wembley, and we do not charge for travelling to you.
Barham Park on Harrow Road has mature trees and a car park for about 16 cars, though a dog control order applies in its walled garden. If you come by train with a pet, Wembley Park and Wembley Central are the local stations, and the studio's nearest is Northwood Hills on the Metropolitan line. For an outdoor dog session we would suggest King Edward VII Park on Park Lane, with its meadows, trees and winding paths, keeping clear of the flower garden, where a dog control order applies.

Owners can also book portrait, family or headshot sittings there, or bring in prints, frames and old negatives. Passport photos for the family can be taken at the studio too. Pet sittings at the studio are available Mon to Sat 10:30 to 18:00 and Sun 13:00 to 18:00.
