Most groups arriving here are three generations or larger, which is exactly what the park is chosen for: room to spread out, and somewhere to sit down.
The number that matters is shutter speed. Children in a park are moving whether or not we asked them to, and anything slower than roughly a five-hundredth turns a running child into a blur with a recognisable coat and no recognisable face. We would rather raise the sensitivity and keep the face.

We meet at a park entrance picked for its parking, photograph for roughly forty minutes, and then stop, well before anybody is asked for more patience than they actually have.
Everything is shot in short runs with gaps for snacks and complaints. Rain moves the whole booking indoors to Northwood rather than cancelling it outright. The edited gallery goes out as a single link, shared with whoever in the family wants it, at print resolution and in a smaller version for messaging.

The plan is concrete. King Edward VII Park does the work, in the first or last couple of hours of daylight, and the all-generations frame is taken first while everybody is together and still patient. Level ground and short distances mean prams and slower walkers are not left trailing. If the stadium has an event on, we move the date for a Wembley session rather than fight the traffic.
Not at all, and please do not worry. We have photographed plenty of busy toddlers in Wembley, and we would never ask one to sit still on command. Instead we make it playful and catch the real moments, which are usually the loveliest ones.
Yes, and they should. The multi-generation frame ends up printed and posted round the family, so it gets made early instead of held back until people are tired. Practically: we pick an entrance close to parking, keep the walk down to a couple of minutes, and build in seated frames so standing is never the only option. A bench solves most of it.
Yes. King Edward VII Park has open ground wide enough for a row of fifteen or twenty with nobody at the ends drifting out of focus, which no front room in Wembley can offer. Send the headcount and rough ages ahead of the day and we will work out an order that photographs the oldest and the youngest first, while both are willing.
Expect roughly an hour, though we take as long as your family needs in Wembley. Newborns and toddlers often want feeds, naps or a cuddle, and we happily allow for that. The session runs at your children's pace, never against the clock.

Three stations serve this district, which sounds like convenience and in practice means a family arrives in pieces: grandparents off one line, parents and children off another, somebody driving. That is worth planning for rather than absorbing on the day. The frame with every generation in it gets made in the first quarter of an hour, while the group is complete and nobody has drifted, and the smaller combinations come afterwards. Reversed, the big picture gets attempted at the exact moment the youngest has run out of goodwill. That goodwill is the real clock. A three-year-old offers something like half an hour of honest interest, and it is spent on walking, carrying, chasing and talking rather than on standing about. A child told to hold still and smile produces an expression that nobody in the family recognises, and those are precisely the frames that get quietly deleted later on. Two Wembley conditions override the rest. When the stadium has a fixture or a concert on, the roads fill, the park fills, and a family session is better moved to a different date than pushed through. That is worth checking before settling on a Saturday. And when the weather turns properly hostile we photograph at the Northwood studio instead, where the session keeps the same order, in light we control, on a floor that is dry whatever the week has been doing outside.
