The pet photographer for Hayes

Pet sessions happen wherever the animal copes best, which around Hayes usually means the lawns at Barra Hall Park for dogs and your own front room for everything else. Yeading, Harlington and Hayes End are covered too, and we travel to the animal rather than asking a nervous one to travel to us.

The single most useful thing to tell us is how it behaves around strangers. A dog that hides behind your legs gets photographed differently from one that jumps at everybody, and knowing which is arriving means the opening ten minutes go on letting it get bored of us.

What we offer

Pet photography in Hayes

01

Family & Pet Portraits

Dogs photographed on the lawns at Barra Hall Park, cats and rabbits at home where they settle.

02

Working & Gundogs

Nervous animals get their first ten minutes with no camera raised at all. That time is well spent.

03

Edited Galleries

Older and stiffer animals are photographed indoors, on the floor, with nothing whatsoever asked of them.

Local and experienced

Why owners across Greater London choose us

We work down at whatever height the animal happens to be, kneeling or flat out on the grass, because anything shot from standing shows more skull than face and reads as a photograph of a passer by.

Sessions go in bursts and finish when the animal has had enough rather than when the clock says so. You get an edited set, highlights cleaned off a wet nose, and no frame kept where the animal looks harassed. Nothing is forced for the sake of a shot list.

Good to know

Pet Photographer in Hayes, FAQs

Dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses and plenty more. We happily photograph almost any pet for owners across Greater London, and we are always glad to discuss an unusual one before booking. Every animal gets the same patience, quick reflexes and genuine affection. Hayes is easy to reach: Hayes and Harlington station is served by the Elizabeth line towards Paddington and Reading.

Absolutely. Nervous cats simply need time, and we give it freely. We keep the studio quiet and calm, let your cat explore at its own pace, and only begin once it feels curious rather than cautious. Patience, not force, brings out a timid animal's true character. Locally in Hayes that takes in Barra Hall, a Grade II listed building that was Hayes town hall from 1924 to 1979.

Yes. Hayes sits in the London Borough of Hillingdon and forms part of our normal run, as do Yeading, Harlington and Hayes End. Most pet sessions happen at your address or on ground the animal already knows, so coming to you is the default rather than an extra. Tell us where the animal is happiest and that is where we start.

Because we say in advance exactly what the session will be. Barra Hall Park early in the day, meeting at the gate, forty minutes on the lawns while the paths are still quiet. Bring the squeakiest toy in the house and something the animal genuinely works for; we hold both and use them for eye contact. If it goes badly, we come back again.

Yes, and we enjoy it. A very dark pet is a rewarding challenge, and years behind the camera mean we know just how to light one so the coat and eyes keep all their detail. We take the same care with white and pale-coated animals. Hayes and neighbouring Yeading, Harlington and Hayes End are all covered.

Coat against background is the entire argument for photographing a dog out on the lawns at Barra Hall Park rather than up against the house. Brick reads as a warm mid tone, and a very dark animal placed in front of it collapses into an outline: the eye disappears, the muzzle merges, and no editing recovers detail the sensor never gathered. Grass sits lighter than a dark coat and darker than a pale one, so it separates both. A cream or white dog is the one case where the wall is the better call, because brick stops a pale coat burning out. Ground and traffic set the rest. A park in a town has gates opening onto roads, so the lead stays on near the entrance and only comes off once there is real distance and something solid between the animal and the cars. If recall is patchy, say so when you book. We will work on a long line, keep it slack, out of shot and out from under the paws, which is far easier than chasing a picture that was never going to happen. Age changes everything. A young dog gives ten good minutes and then stops listening. An older one may be stiff, deaf or unwilling to walk far, and for those we come to the house and work on the floor and the sofa where it already relaxes. Cats, rabbits and the like are indoor jobs by default. Nothing in a session here asks the animal to perform.
