Sittings are short by design, because the interesting frames arrive in the first stretch and what follows is repetition. We use treats you have brought rather than ours, since your animal already trusts the smell of them, and an unfamiliar one wastes the best part of a sitting.
The edited set includes the arranged pictures and the unarranged ones, and the second kind can turn out to be the favourites. Files arrive at print size and at a size that will actually send by message without turning to mush.

We had a family shoot at the studio, Kaushik took some wonderful photos. He was excellent with the kids and was very good at making them smile naturally, the end results were brilliant. We purchased a canvas and 2 further large framed photos. All completed on time and to perfection. Very pleased.

Yes. A black cat or a dark dog is a lovely challenge, and we set the lighting so every detail of the coat and eyes shows. White and pale coats get the same attention, so detail is not lost in the highlights.

We keep it to twenty minutes or so, take the standing and walking frames at the start while the legs are willing, and do the remainder lying down or sitting. Dogs photograph best on ground they can be let loose on, and the practical question in Greenford is which of the two big open spaces suits the particular animal. Horsenden Hill has depth to it, which helps with a dog that bolts: a recall that fails on the flat is easier to survive when the animal is running uphill and losing speed as it goes. A slope also offers something no flat field can, which is a way to get the lens down level with a small dog without lying in the mud, simply by standing a little further down the gradient. Ravenor Park is the calmer choice and the better one for an elderly dog, a timid one, or a cat brought in a carrier, because as the largest park it has quiet corners away from the paths and nothing needs to be walked far. A very dark coat needs light crossing it from the side to show any texture at all, so we work early or late and avoid the flat overhead light of the middle hours, which collapses black fur into a shape carrying no detail. Timid animals get a long lead and no direct approach with the camera. Age and nerves are reasons to plan a sitting differently, not to skip one.

Portrait and family sittings can be booked there, and old prints, frames, photographs and negatives can be dropped in for work in house. Passport and ID photos are taken at the studio too. The studio is open 10:30 to 18:00 Monday to Saturday and 13:00 to 18:00 on Sundays, for pets and people alike.
