Serving Harrow
Dog sessions for Harrow work on the recreation ground below the hill, off-lead only once we are inside it, and Sudbury, Kenton and West Harrow are covered the same. Cats and rabbits we photograph indoors at your address, since moving them anywhere costs more than it gains.
Coat tone decides the hour more than anything else. A pale dog holds its detail in bright light but disappears against dry pale grass; a dark one wants the sun low or the sky fully overcast, or the face goes solid. Tell us the colour when you book and the time gets set around it.

What we offer
Open ground below the hill for dogs, indoors at your address for cats and the smaller pets.
Timed around coat colour so a dark face keeps its detail instead of collapsing into one flat shape.
Nervous and elderly animals worked slowly, from further back, on level ground they already know well.
Why choose us
The session is led by the dog. We stay put and let it come to us, work down at its height, and use whatever it already responds to, which is usually a ball rather than us calling its name.
Expect thirty to forty minutes, because most dogs have nothing left after that and a tired animal stops looking like itself. You get an edited set, and a long line is painted out of any frame it appears in, so caution during the session costs you nothing in the pictures.

Good to know
Nothing to worry about, it happens all the time. Rather than fight an energetic dog, we go with it, finding character in the gaps between play. Many Harrow dogs give us wonderful action shots mid-bound. A brilliant portrait never depends on sitting perfectly still.
Both. Dogs are almost always better outdoors on the open ground below the hill, where there is room to move and something to chase. The Northwood room suits cats, small animals, and any dog that finds strangers and open space hard work. If the rain sets in for the day, an outdoor booking moves indoors rather than being cancelled outright.
The room is at The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6. For pet work in Harrow the address matters less than it does for anything else, because most dog sessions happen outdoors and we meet you there. The studio is what we use for cats and smaller animals, for a dog that will not settle outside, and when the rain sets in for the day.
Yes. Horses are always photographed at the yard where they are kept rather than brought anywhere, so the session gets built around turnout and feed times instead of around the light. A dark coat wants the hour after sunrise or the hour before the light goes. The yard's own ground, its surfaces and its space decide what is actually possible, so we walk it first.
Yes, and Sudbury, Kenton and West Harrow too. Tell us the coat colour and how reliable the recall is when you book, because both change the plan. Bring the ball or toy that works, plus treats, and skip a big meal beforehand. Allow thirty to forty minutes of photography. If the roads make you uneasy, say so and the whole session stays on the line.
Serving Harrow
As a Greater London pet photographer, we know Harrow and the towns around it well. It sits close to Rayners Lane and Harrow Weald, which we cover too. Getting to you in Harrow is quick from our Northwood studio, with no travel charge locally.
A north-west London town best known for Harrow School and the historic hilltop village of Harrow on the Hill. Served by Harrow-on-the-Hill station on the Metropolitan line and Harrow and Wealdstone station, near the A404 and A409. When a session suits an outdoor setting, Harrow Recreation Ground below the hill is a favourite near Harrow, close to Harrow School and St Mary's Church on Harrow on the Hill.

Harrow Recreation Ground is the ground a dog session here gets built around, and its openness is both the advantage and the difficulty. Open grass gives room and a clean background, but it also means every scrap of light in the frame falls from the sky and none of it comes back up from beneath. Under a high sun that leaves the eyes sunk in shadow beneath the brow, and on a black or very dark dog it leaves an outline and little else. Eyes carry a dog picture entirely, so we work when the sun is low enough to reach in under the brow, or on a bright overcast day when the whole sky becomes the source and there is no brow shadow left to fight. Footing and traffic set the running order. The town sits close to fast roads, so nothing comes off the lead until we are properly inside the ground and can see the whole of it. Recall gets tested on a long line first; if it proves honest the line comes off, and if it does not, it stays attached and gets painted out afterwards. Two animals get a different plan altogether. A nervous dog is photographed from further back while it settles, on ground it already knows, with us static and the owner doing the moving. An old dog is never asked to walk up to the village; the lower ground is level, and a session there can be twenty minutes of sitting and standing rather than an hour of chasing.
