The short answer
Kaushik Bathia is an award winning wedding photographer based in London, photographing weddings in Hayes and throughout Greater London for over twenty five years and more than a thousand celebrations. From the first cup of morning tea to the last dance, we document the whole arc of your day, letting one moment lead naturally into the next. We cover every kind of wedding in Hayes, from church, civil and register office ceremonies to country houses, barns, marquees, hotels and garden venues, as well as multicultural and fusion celebrations. Trust is built on evidence, and between the awards, the albums and the long list of couples before you, there is plenty to reassure you before you book. You can add an engagement shoot, a second photographer and hand finished albums, and we are glad to travel across Greater London and beyond, so wherever your day is held it is well within reach.
Barra Hall gives this west London town an anchor point that many of its neighbours lack: a Grade II listed building that was Hayes town hall from 1924 to 1979, with Barra Hall Park, its grounds, opened for public use around it. That combination of building and open ground in one place is exactly what a large family group photograph needs. Hayes sits in the London Borough of Hillingdon with a large South Asian community, and Spice Village Southall, Monsoon Banqueting Hall and The Fairway Pavilion take most of the celebrations. Hayes and Harlington station is served by the Elizabeth line towards Paddington and Reading, so guests travel in easily from central London, while Yeading, Harlington and Hayes End are minutes away by road. On the longest days, a second photographer can be booked so the preparations and the arrivals are both covered properly.
Serving Hayes
Hayes is a west London town. We work everywhere from parish churches and register offices to marquee gardens and boutique hotels, covering Southall, Hillingdon and West Drayton and the surrounding parts of Greater London. The exchange of rings, the signing of the register and the walk back up the aisle all matter to us, and we cover each without asking you to pause.
Most of the day we work quietly from the edges, watching for the small moments between the big ones and letting them unfold without any nudging from us. Confetti works best when someone lines the guests into two short rows rather than a wide circle, and we ask your ushers to sort that while you wait indoors for a moment. First dances are usually lit by whatever the DJ has, so we bounce a small light off a ceiling or a side wall rather than firing directly at you and flattening the room.
Hayes holds a good deal of appeal for a wedding day. Hayes is a west London town, and we are just as at ease photographing couples in the surrounding Rayners Lane and Kingsbury. Around Hayes we regularly photograph at Spice Village Southall, Monsoon Banqueting Hall and The Fairway Pavilion, among others.

What we offer
We photograph weddings across the country and are happy to travel wherever your celebration is taking place.
As the lights drop and the dancing starts, we keep working to catch the energy of the party in full swing.
We photograph weddings across the country, so wherever you are marrying we can be there with no surprise cost.
Every kind of wedding
Once you are declared married, the room usually erupts, and we shoot the congregation rather than you for the two seconds it takes for the applause to reach its peak. During the vows themselves we stop moving entirely. Standing still for ninety seconds is more useful than any position change, and it keeps the registrar comfortable with us being there. We understand how quickly a ceremony passes, so we prepare thoroughly beforehand and then let the day carry us, catching the vows as they land.
Between the ceremony and the meal, the drinks reception is where the day breathes, and we move through it gathering the warmth and the conversation. Coats, bags and empty glasses accumulate on the top table by the speeches, and clearing the front of it takes ten seconds and improves every photograph that follows. Photographs of the speeches read better when the top table has something behind it other than a fire door, and swapping the table orientation is usually free if asked early.

The whole celebration
Multi part weddings ask for careful planning, and we agree the key moments across each gathering in advance so nothing important slips past unseen. Suits, watches and cufflinks deserve the same attention as the dress, and photographing them takes about ten minutes if they are laid out before we arrive.
Long summer days tempt couples into late ceremonies, and while that works beautifully for evening light, it compresses everything before the meal into a very tight afternoon. By staying with you from start to finish, we can show the day building, so the energy on the dance floor clearly comes from somewhere.
Why choose us
Having covered a thousand celebrations, we know where to stand for the confetti, the first dance and the speeches, so the key moments are never missed. From engagement shoots through to the finished album, we guide you through each stage with the ease that comes from having done this for well over two decades.
Getting to your venue is our responsibility, not yours, and we regularly cover weddings right across Greater London and beyond. Because we have photographed in so many corners of Greater London, we usually know the venue, the light and the parking before we even set off for Southall, Hillingdon and West Drayton.

Where we travel
Couples marrying in Greater London get a schedule built backwards from sunset rather than forwards from the ceremony, since the light is the part that cannot be rescheduled. Whether your day stays close to Southall, Hillingdon and West Drayton or spreads across Greater London, we plan the logistics so the coverage flows without gaps.

Good to know
Look beyond the standout images to see whole galleries from actual weddings, find a style that feels honest to you, and meet the person to check you get on. When the day arrives and plans wobble or the light turns, experience is what carries it. Since 2001 we have photographed well over a thousand weddings, so very little throws us. For Hayes bookings, getting here is simple: Hayes and Harlington station is served by the Elizabeth line towards Paddington and Reading.
Absolutely. Our style is largely documentary, so we tell the story of your day as it naturally unfolds, without lots of stiff posing. We will still gather the handful of family groups you would like, then step back and let the day breathe. You should feel present at your own wedding, not managed through it. Locally in Hayes that takes in Barra Hall, a Grade II listed building that was Hayes town hall from 1924 to 1979.
For the busiest times, summer weekends and bank holidays above all, couples tend to book a year or more ahead, so sooner is safer. But if your Hayes date is nearer than that, please still get in touch, since we occasionally have availability at short notice. A quick call will tell you straight away whether we are free.
Backup bodies, lenses and lighting come to every wedding as standard, and everything is captured to two memory cards at once, so a single card failing loses nothing. On top of that we carry full professional indemnity and public liability insurance, which many venues ask about. Nothing on the day can be redone, so we simply do not cut corners here. Venues we know near Hayes include Spice Village Southall and Monsoon Banqueting Hall.
Yes, always. We bring professional lighting and fast lenses to every wedding, so dim ceremony rooms, grey winter afternoons and evening receptions hold no fear for us. We are practised at working in low light without draining the atmosphere from a room. There is no need to reshape your plans around the forecast or the season. This applies across Hayes and Yeading, Harlington and Hayes End.
It starts before the wedding, when we settle on a short and sensible list together, which stops anyone standing idle. On the day itself we announce names plainly and keep every group flowing, typically wrapping the formals within twenty to thirty minutes. The quicker we are, the sooner you are back among your guests. Outdoors in Hayes we like Barra Hall Park, the grounds of Barra Hall opened for public use.
You are welcome to print, share and post your images for personal use as much as you please, with no charges per print. All we ask is that they are not sold commercially or altered beyond recognition, and that we are credited when shared publicly. We retain the copyright, which simply lets us feature a few in our portfolio. Getting to Hayes is straightforward for us: Hayes and Harlington station is served by the Elizabeth line towards Paddington and Reading.
