The short answer
Kaushik Bathia is an award winning wedding photographer based in London, photographing weddings in Hayes and throughout Greater London for over twenty five years and more than a thousand celebrations. We keep direction to a minimum, offering just enough for you to feel at ease in front of the lens while the honesty of the moment stays intact. We cover every kind of wedding in Hayes, from church, civil and register office ceremonies to country houses, barns, marquees, hotels and garden venues, as well as multicultural and fusion celebrations. Our work has been recognised with five European Gold awards, though what matters more on the day is that you can hand us the details and stop worrying. You can add an engagement shoot, a second photographer and hand finished albums, and we are glad to travel across Greater London and beyond, so wherever your day is held it is well within reach.
Serving Hayes
Hayes is a west London town. We work everywhere from parish churches and register offices to marquee gardens and boutique hotels, covering Southall, Hillingdon and West Drayton and the surrounding parts of Greater London. Whether you marry in a country house, a chapel or a city hall, we photograph the ceremony with restraint, letting the day speak for itself.
Small, telling details matter to us as much as the big set pieces, so we photograph the handwritten notes, the borrowed jewellery and the quiet glances between courses. We stay observant and patient, waiting for expressions to arrive naturally rather than asking for them, which keeps the whole set feeling warm and unposed. We move with the rhythm of the day, quick when the action is fast and patient when it slows, so nothing important slips past unrecorded.
Hayes holds a good deal of appeal for a wedding day. Hayes is a west London town, and we are just as at ease photographing couples in the surrounding Rayners Lane and Kingsbury. Around Hayes we regularly photograph at Spice Village Southall, Monsoon Banqueting Hall and The Fairway Pavilion, among others.
Hayes is a west London town in the London Borough of Hillingdon with a large South Asian community. Hayes and Harlington station is served by the Elizabeth line towards Paddington and Reading. For relaxed couple photographs, we like Barra Hall Park, the grounds of Barra Hall opened for public use, and Barra Hall, a Grade II listed building that was Hayes town hall from 1924 to 1979 gives the day a strong sense of Hayes.

What we offer
We photograph weddings across the country and are happy to travel wherever your celebration is taking place.
As the lights drop and the dancing starts, we keep working to catch the energy of the party in full swing.
We photograph weddings across the country, so wherever you are marrying we can be there with no surprise cost.
Every kind of wedding
We understand that every ceremony has its own rhythm, so we read the room, keep our movement minimal and photograph the vows as they truly happen. Your ceremony sets the tone for everything that follows, so we photograph it faithfully and quietly, letting the vows and the setting carry the story. We time our movements to yours, staying still through the readings and the promises, then finding the right spot for the first kiss as a married couple.
We cover the details you have laboured over, the flowers, the table settings and the cake, then return our attention to the people who fill the room. Portraits with your family and closest friends matter, and we make time for them without letting the schedule stall or the day lose its momentum. The evening brings a different mood, and we adjust our lighting so the dancing, the singing and the late laughter all come through with warmth and life.

The whole celebration
Arriving early means we are ready when the unplanned things happen, the surprise visit, the last hug, the quiet minute alone before you leave for the venue. For weddings spread across more than one day, we plan the coverage in advance so each event, from the welcome dinner onwards, gets its proper place.
We shape the coverage so the mood shifts gradually, from the still morning through the ceremony and into the noise and warmth of the evening. The finished collection should feel like living the day again in order, so we cover each stage with the same attention and let the story flow.
Why choose us
Experience teaches you to expect the unexpected; after so many weddings we have a quiet plan for rain, delays and last minute changes, and it rarely shows. After a quarter of a century of weddings, we stay calm when timings change, which they often do, and we adjust without any fuss reaching you or your guests.
From our studio it is an easy run out to Greater London, and we always allow generous time so we can settle in well before the first shot. Because we have photographed in so many corners of Greater London, we usually know the venue, the light and the parking before we even set off for Southall, Hillingdon and West Drayton.

Where we travel
Getting to your venue is our responsibility, not yours, and we regularly cover weddings right across Greater London and beyond. Whether your day stays close to Southall, Hillingdon and West Drayton or spreads across Greater London, we plan the logistics so the coverage flows without gaps.

Good to know
Look for a full gallery from real weddings rather than a few standout shots, a style that feels natural to you, and someone you warm to when you meet. Experience matters most on the day itself, when timings slip and the light changes. We have photographed more than a thousand weddings since 2001, so very little takes us by surprise.
Absolutely. Our style is largely documentary, so we tell the story of your day as it naturally unfolds, without lots of stiff posing. We will still gather the handful of family groups you would like, then step back and let the day breathe. You should feel present at your own wedding, not managed through it.
Popular dates, especially in summer and around bank holidays, can be taken a year or more ahead, so earlier is always safer. That said, if your Hayes wedding is sooner, do still ask, as we sometimes have dates free at shorter notice. A quick call is the fastest way to find out.
We carry professional backup cameras, lenses and lighting to every wedding, and we photograph to dual memory cards so images are written twice as we go. We also hold full professional indemnity and public liability insurance, which many venues ask to see. Nothing on a wedding day can be re-run, so this cover is not optional for us.
Yes. We carry professional lighting and fast lenses, so dark ceremony rooms, winter afternoons and evening receptions are all manageable. We know how to work in low light without flattening the mood of a room. You do not need to change your plans around the forecast or the season.
We plan the family groups with you beforehand and agree a short, realistic list, so nobody stands around waiting. On the day we call names clearly and keep each set moving, usually finishing the formal shots within twenty to thirty minutes. That leaves you more time to enjoy your guests.
You are free to print, share and post your images for personal use as much as you like, with no per-print fees. We simply ask that photos are not sold commercially or edited beyond recognition, and that we are credited if you share them publicly. We keep the copyright, which lets us show a few images in our portfolio.
