Small children set the clock on a family session, and in Northwood that clock runs unusually kindly, because none of it is spent getting anywhere. Indoors earns its keep through November and December, when the usable light has gone before the school run finishes. A warm room, no coats, nobody wrestling with a hood. A picture with three generations in it is also easier under a roof, because heights can be arranged rather than hunted for, and the smallest person in the frame is not balanced on a tree root.
