Christening families
Quiet coverage of the service and the groups, close to home.

Christenings, naming days and first communions in Northwood, photographed quietly, from a photographer whose studio is on Joel Street.
The short answer
Yes. Kaushik Bathia's studio is on The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6 1NU, so a christening at a Northwood church, a naming ceremony at home or a gathering at a local venue is a short journey away. The service is followed discreetly, within whatever the church allows, then the family groups are organised quickly and the party is photographed for its smaller moments. If you would rather keep the day private, a studio portrait in the christening outfit is the alternative. Book by phone, WhatsApp or the form below.
Kaushik took graduation photos for my family and I. His enthusiasm and great photography skills made the photos turn out beautifully as he really understood what we wanted and captured priceless moments for us. Highly recommend his services, you won't be disappointed!
…He took many photos of my daughter’s engagement party in a quite dimly lit pub attended by quite a large crowd. He made sure that he kept himself unobtrusively and made sure he included everyone who attended in the photos. All the photos were well focussed and both the formal groups and informal pictures were so natural looking and excellent quality. We had a hard time trying to choose from all of them.
Having had Mr Bathia to do our family studio photos with our first child, we again went for him second time round with our second child 5 years later. He is extremely good in getting our girls attention to capture lovely photos. He is a great photographer and would definitely recommend him.
The service
Each church sets its own rules on photography during a service: some welcome it throughout, some ask for no photographs during the baptism itself, and some prefer no flash. Ask your vicar or priest when you book the date, and we will work to their answer.
Emmanuel Church in Northwood Hills, built in 1895 as a school and opened as a church in 1904, is a few minutes from the studio; wherever your ceremony is, we can arrive early to see the space and the light.

Afterwards
The group photographs are where a little planning saves a lot of waiting. Send us the list beforehand: parents with the baby, godparents, each set of grandparents, the wider family. We call people in and out quickly, often outside the church door.
For the celebration that follows, Northwood has function rooms such as Northwood Golf Club on Rickmansworth Road and The Grange, a country house venue with gardens. At home or at a venue, we look for the quiet moments between the speeches.

In Northwood
Coverage takes in your church, your home or a hired room anywhere around Northwood, Northwood Hills and Moor Park. Because the studio is local, setting up early is easy, and a short studio portrait on another day can be added without anyone travelling far.
For guests coming by Tube, Northwood and Northwood Hills stations are both on the Metropolitan line, one stop apart, and the 282, 331 and H11 buses serve both areas.
