For Hatch End
We meet you at the park gate rather than asking you to find us. The session runs about an hour and moves as the children move, along the paths and across the grass, with a pause whenever somebody needs one.
Afterwards the full set goes into a gallery you look through at home in your own time. Chosen images are finished individually and supplied at a size that prints properly at wall scale, not only at the size a phone wants.

What we offer
Outdoor family sessions at Pinner Memorial Park, led by the children rather than by a shot list.
Newborn and baby sittings at the Northwood studio, warm and quiet and worked around feeds.
Extended family groups covered in one booking, so nobody has to be photographed separately later.
Why choose us
Babies who are genuinely unsettled are handed straight back. Nothing is gained by pressing on, and the frames taken once a baby has calmed are always the better ones.
Every combination worth having is covered within one visit, which is why a family session takes rather longer than the photography alone would suggest. Family groups from three to around twenty-five can be photographed, and anything larger is worth discussing beforehand so the arrangement is planned rather than improvised.

Good to know
A cake smash celebrates turning one, giving your little one a cake to poke, squish and taste. We photograph the curious anticipation, the delightful chaos and every gleeful expression along the way. It is enormous fun, and one of the happiest sessions we run. Around Hatch End we plan for landmarks such as Harrow Arts Centre and its Elliott Hall on Uxbridge Road.
Yes. Hatch End is on the standard list of places we cover out of Northwood, alongside Pinner, Carpenders Park and Headstone, so nothing extra needs arranging. Most family bookings meet at Pinner Memorial Park, and we confirm which entrance in advance so nobody ends up walking the perimeter with a pram trying to find us. Sessions at your own house in Hatch End work the same way.
Mostly, and by design. The one frame where everybody looks at the camera is taken early, while the children still find the whole thing interesting, and the rest of the hour is spent walking the paths at Pinner Memorial Park and photographing what happens. Children being carried, chased and talked to give better pictures than children being arranged. Posing goes no further than telling adults where to stand.
Of course, and we encourage it. When Hatch End families come to us, parents are very much in the pictures, not just watching from the side. We photograph the group, then smaller sets and each child alone, so no cuddle or combination is ever missed.
Absolutely, pets are welcome. The family dog belongs in the picture as much as anyone, and a well-behaved companion is no trouble at all. Let us know beforehand and we will plan around them, keeping the whole group, furry members included, nicely relaxed. For Hatch End bookings, getting here is simple: served by Hatch End station on the London Overground Lioness line in fare zone 6.

A village-feel corner of Harrow forming the north-eastern part of Pinner, with tree-lined streets and period houses. Served by Hatch End station on the London Overground Lioness line in fare zone 6. Sessions on location near Hatch End often use Pinner Memorial Park nearby, with Harrow Arts Centre and its Elliott Hall on Uxbridge Road close at hand.

A family of five cannot be lit by the same tree that flatters one adult. Under a canopy the light arrives in patches, and with a group spread across two metres of ground one person gets a bright forehead while the person beside them is in full shade, which nothing done afterwards will even out. A single sitter can be moved eighteen inches and the problem disappears. A group cannot. That is why family work here goes to the open ground of Pinner Memorial Park rather than the tree-lined streets that suit a portrait, and why a flat overcast afternoon is the better booking for a group rather than a disappointment. Ground decides more than it sounds like it should. After rain the grass holds water for a day or two while the made paths drain, so a pram, an older relative who would rather stay on a firm surface, and anyone in decent shoes all end up on the path while the children use the lawn. That works for the running-about pictures and fails for the one with everybody in it, because a family split across two surfaces is a family at two different heights, with the ones on the path a few inches up and leaning down into the frame. For the group frame we put the whole family on a single plane, usually the grass, and accept the wet feet as the price of it.
