Bringing Old Photographs Back to Life

A faded photograph of a grandparent, a torn wedding print, a water-stained portrait, these are often the only image that survives of a person or a moment. Photo restoration brings them back, and it is some of the most rewarding work we do.

What restoration can fix

Modern restoration can repair tears and creases, rebuild missing corners, remove stains and foxing, correct fading and even bring careful, believable colour to a black-and-white image. The aim is always to honour the original, never to over-polish it.

Start with a good scan

The better the scan, the better the result. We scan your print at high resolution so the original is never at further risk, then work on the digital copy. Your precious print is handled briefly and returned to you safely.

Why it is worth doing

Prints fade, paper yellows and accidents happen. Restoring and digitising an old photograph means it can be reprinted, shared with family around the world and preserved for the next generation, long after the original would have been lost.

If you have an old photograph you thought was beyond saving, bring it in. There is real joy in seeing a face return to a picture a family had almost given up on.
