Wedding Photography at Rowhill Grange, Kent

Rowhill Grange is a hotel and spa in Wilmington, near Swanley and Dartford, run by Alexander Hotels and just minutes from junction 3 of the M25 (directions). Weddings have exclusive use of The Clockhouse, a barn-style venue in the gardens with eight bedrooms, a private bar and courtyard, and a getting-ready suite under its thatched roof. Ceremonies can also be held on the lawn or at the seasonal Wedding Gazebo (wedding spaces).

What a Rowhill Grange wedding costs

Rowhill Grange publishes starting prices for four packages, each "depending on the time of year and day of the week", with extra guests added for a fee per person (packages and prices):

• Exclusively Yours, from £13,000: exclusive use of The Clockhouse until midnight, based on 70 day and 50 evening guests, with all eight Clockhouse bedrooms.
• Rowhill Romance, from £9,500: based on 50 day and 20 evening guests, with seven Mews bedrooms plus the bridal suite.
• Love at Twilight, from £7,500: ceremony and evening reception with exclusive use of The Clockhouse from 5pm until midnight and all eight bedrooms, based on 80 guests.
• Intimate, from £4,500: exclusive use of The Clockhouse until 8pm for up to 30 day guests.
• Blank Canvas Hire of The Clockhouse, from £1,500 for the room, with your own choice of caterers and entertainment.

The full-day packages include a drinks and canapé reception, a four-course wedding breakfast, half a bottle of wine, a glass of Champagne for the toasts, an evening buffet, and a private bar, DJ and disco until midnight. Three canapés are included, with more at £3 per person, and Champagne for the drinks reception adds £6 per person (2027 sample menus). Guests booking a room on the night can have up to 40% off published bed and breakfast prices, depending on season (weddings). The year these package prices apply to and the VAT basis are not stated, so ask for a written quote.

Ceremonies on the lawn, at the Gazebo or in The Cottage Suite

Every package offers three ceremony locations: the grounds, the Wedding Gazebo, or the Cottage Ceremony Room (packages). The gazebo sits at the bottom of a stone walkway with views across the gardens and grounds, and is seasonal, used in the warmer months; The Cottage Suite inside The Clockhouse has garden views and private access to the bridal changing facilities. Both take 20 to 120 for a civil ceremony (wedding spaces).

Catering is by the in-house kitchen, and the 2027 sample menus already include a lamb kakori kebab and a sweet potato and beetroot bhaji among the canapés. Blank Canvas Hire lets you bring your own caterers. Rowhill Grange does not publish anything about Asian weddings, religious ceremonies, a mandap or a baraat, or which registrar district conducts its civil ceremonies. Ask the wedding team in writing.

The Thatchers getting-ready suite

Thatchers, the getting-ready suite at the top of The Clockhouse, is available from 8.30am on the wedding morning, with space for you and five close friends, adults only, and a private balcony over the grounds (wedding spaces). The weddings page describes it as having a make-up and blow-dry bar. The packages list the bridal party changing area from 8am with a breakfast hamper and a bottle of bubbly, or from 11am with a brunch hamper for Love at Twilight (packages). The Clockhouse's eight bedrooms include a duplex bridal suite, and more rooms are available in the main house. A second room for the other side of the family is not described, so ask.
