Around the sacred fire, the seven steps of the saptapadi bind a Hindu couple together, and we photograph each vow from close enough to feel its weight.

The bhangra and the dancing carry the reception late into the night, and we stay for all of it. Away from the couple, cousins reunite, aunts organise and children weave through the crowd, and we watch the family moments that fill the edges of the day. We photograph the bridal and groom's preparations with a gentle, unobtrusive eye.
