Volume returns immediately afterwards. Mehndi runs for hours and is a detail job, not a wide one. A walima held in a ballroom is a lit event, and the ceiling's height settles whether we can bounce anything off it or must carry our own sources. Rukhsati falls at the very end, outdoors, in whatever light is left and never with time to spare. That one is planned for by itself. Most of a day can be improvised. That part cannot.

Yes. A dhol fills whatever space it is given and the crowd follows the sound, so we shoot wide and keep out of range of the sticks. If a route has been fixed, say so beforehand, and nobody reverses into anybody.
