The short answer
Our studio at The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6 1NU is about 3 miles from Harrow and takes OCI and Indian visa photos without an appointment. The OCI photo is a 2 by 2 inch square with its own rules for head size and background, and we take it to that standard, check it and print it while you wait, with a digital file for the online application. From Harrow-on-the-Hill the Metropolitan line runs to Northwood Hills without a change, and the studio is two minutes' walk from the station.
I had an amazing experience today when getting my passport picture done. Very professional service and lovely customer service!! Will defo be back again 😀
Amazing service!!! I went to take some passport photos and the process was so quick and simple, no faffing around as I've experience this from places. Would highly recommend to everyone!!
I am really very thankful for their service. We needed my daughter's passport size photo and I requested them to come early if possible because we had an appointment on the same day. Kaushikbhai came very early and helped us, we got the photos and because we got our photos immediately, we could attend our appointment on time. Very nice service and highly recommended. Thanks.
One trip, done properly
The most common reasons an OCI or Indian visa photo is refused are a background that is not plain and pale enough, a face too small within the square, and shadows behind the head. All three are easy to get wrong at home and easy to avoid with studio lighting and a photographer who measures the frame.
If you have a rejection already, bring the wording with you, and if you are not sure which document you are applying for, bring the guidance from the portal.
The whole family
Families from Harrow often need photos for several people at once, from grandparents to a new baby. Coming together means one journey, and each person's photo is sized to their own document, whether that is an OCI card, an Indian visa, a UK passport or a PAN card.
Babies are photographed on a plain sheet so the background stays clean, and older children are given a moment to settle before the frame is taken.
From Harrow
The Metropolitan line stops at Harrow-on-the-Hill, opposite St Anns Shopping Centre. Take a train towards Uxbridge or Watford and get off at Northwood Hills, with no change; the studio is on the Joel Street parade beside the station.
By car it is about 3 miles, with parking close by. Bus routes 282, 331 and H11 between them connect Northwood Hills with Harrow and the areas around it, which some families find easier with a pushchair.
