We work discreetly at the back and the sides of the darbar sahib, so the Anand Karaj is never disturbed. Heads covered and seated on the floor with the sangat, we photograph the laavan without ever intruding. The langar that follows the ceremony, shared by the whole sangat, is a moment of community we capture with warmth.

The jaggo night is an evening of music, dancing and pots lit with candles, and we capture all of its energy. We document the sagai and the engagement that begin the journey, when families ask us. The dhol and bhangra of the jaggo are pure joy, and we capture every bit of the energy.
