The short answer
For couples marrying in Romford, Kaushik Bathia offers award winning wedding photography, with more than twenty five years of experience and over a thousand weddings behind the camera. We work in available light wherever we can, adding a soft flash only when a dark room needs it, so the images stay true to how the evening looked. Church, civil, country house, barn, marquee or hotel, and every faith, culture and fusion celebration, we are equally at home photographing them all in Romford. We carry backup cameras, spare lenses and duplicate memory cards to every wedding, so a single piece of kit failing never puts your pictures at risk. You can add an engagement shoot, a second photographer and hand finished albums, and we are glad to travel across Greater London and beyond, so wherever your day is held it is well within reach.
Serving Romford
Romford is an east London town with country-house venues nearby. Grand estates, garden marquees, hotel ballrooms and quiet parish churches all appear in the weddings we shoot around Hornchurch, Gidea Park and Collier Row and across Greater London. We time our movements to yours, staying still through the readings and the promises, then finding the right spot for the first kiss as a married couple.
We blend honest reportage with a short set of relaxed, guided portraits, so you keep both the candid frames and a handful of timeless ones you will treasure. We keep a low profile through the ceremony and speeches, using longer lenses from a distance so nobody feels watched and the real reactions come through. You will barely notice us for much of the day, and that is the point; the less we intrude, the more relaxed everyone stays in front of the lens.
We have photographed many weddings in and around Romford. Romford is an east London town with country-house venues nearby, and couples from nearby Barking and Acton often ask us to cover their day here too. Venues we have photographed at near Romford include Maylands Golf Club, Romford Golf Club and Ingrebourne Links Golf and Country Club.
Romford is a lively east London market town in the borough of Havering, with a charter market that has traded since the medieval period and country-house venues nearby. Romford station is on the Great Eastern Main Line and is served by the Elizabeth line into central London. For pre-wedding and couple portraits, we love spots such as Raphael Park, a green space with a picturesque lake close to the town centre, with Romford Market, the historic market square in the town centre close by for a striking backdrop.

What we offer
Before the wedding we talk through the running order and your priorities, so nothing is left to guesswork.
Our coverage options are set out plainly, so you can see what you are choosing without chasing hidden extras.
Your favourite images are hand-finished into a printed album built to last, designed with you page by page.
Every kind of wedding
However you choose to marry, we read the room first, learn where to stand and then document the exchange of vows as it truly unfolds. We understand how quickly a ceremony passes, so we prepare thoroughly beforehand and then let the day carry us, catching the vows as they land. Your ceremony sets the tone for everything that follows, so we photograph it faithfully and quietly, letting the vows and the setting carry the story.
The cutting of the cake and the first dance often run close together, and we stay ready for both, keeping our light soft and our presence easy. When the evening party begins and the lights come down, we adapt our approach, working in low light to keep the dancing alive and full of energy. We photograph the arrivals, the confetti and the drinks that follow, giving the reception the same care we bring to the ceremony itself.

The whole celebration
When a celebration runs over several days, we shape a plan that keeps our energy and yours steady, so the first day is as strong as the last. Early coverage means we are already reading the light and the layout of the venue by the time your guests begin to gather.
We read how the day is going and step back when it needs room, then come closer for the moments that ask to be kept. We pace ourselves to the day, not the shot list, so the finished gallery moves naturally from the morning through to the party.
Why choose us
After a quarter of a century of weddings, we stay calm when timings change, which they often do, and we adjust without any fuss reaching you or your guests. Experience means we anticipate what is coming next, so we are ready for the tears during the vows and the laughter in the room before either arrives.
We come to you, wherever the day unfolds, and we are comfortable covering venues throughout Greater London and the surrounding counties. Whether your day stays close to Hornchurch, Gidea Park and Collier Row or spreads across Greater London, we plan the logistics so the coverage flows without gaps.

Where we travel
Longer journeys and rural venues suit us well; we have photographed weddings in every corner of Greater London and are glad to travel. We travel widely for weddings and think nothing of a longer drive to reach venues in and around Hornchurch, Gidea Park and Collier Row and the broader Greater London.

Good to know
Nerves are completely normal, and nearly every couple feels the same at first. Because we work mainly in a documentary way, most of the day asks nothing of you, so you soon forget we are there. An engagement shoot beforehand is a gentle way to practise, and by the wedding the camera feels far more familiar.
We offer professional prints, framed pieces and wall art produced by trusted UK labs, so the colour and quality match how the images look on screen. You can also print your own from the high-resolution files. If you want help choosing which frames suit a wall, we are happy to advise.
We have photographed across Greater London and the wider region for many years, so there is a good chance we already know your venue and its best spots. If it is somewhere new to us, we research the layout beforehand and arrive early to scout. Either way we come prepared rather than working it out on the day.
Days slip, and we build a little flexibility into the plan for exactly that. If timings drift, we reprioritise on the spot so the moments that matter most still get proper coverage. We keep things calm rather than rushing you, and we will quietly flag it if a delay risks losing the light.
Yes. We design fine-art albums using thick, lay-flat pages and archival printing, then send you a proof to review before anything goes to print. You can add matching parent copies at a smaller size. The album is optional, so you can book coverage alone and add one later if you prefer.
We keep the group photographs relaxed and efficient, so you are not left standing about for ages. It helps if you send us a short list of the combinations you would like beforehand, and if you nominate a friend or usher who knows everyone by name. We will gather people gently and have this part done quickly.
Once you are happy to go ahead, we hold your date with a signed agreement and a booking fee. Until both are in place we cannot promise the date will still be free, as we take a limited number of weddings each year. We would always encourage you to get in touch early to avoid disappointment.
