The short answer

Where can I get canvas prints near Harrow?

Our studio at The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6 1NU, about 3 miles from Harrow, makes canvas prints in house and you do not need an appointment to order one. Bring the photo on your phone or a memory stick, or an old print or negative, and a photographer will check its resolution, correct the colour where it needs it and tell you the biggest size that will still look sharp. You agree the price before work starts, and canvases normally take one to two weeks. The Metropolitan line runs from Harrow-on-the-Hill to Northwood Hills, next to the studio, without a change.

I came in to get a photo album printed of some photos of my closest friends as a gift, the customer service I received from Kaushik was incredible. He was so kind, careful and very warm when I met him, he was very quick, efficient and brilliant at his work, so glad I came here. I'll definitely be coming back and I honestly cannot recommend him enough!

Amazing service- thankyou for turning around my order around within the hour. I had requested for a super large framed print to be ready as soon as possible - and it was done without fuss It looks amazing above my mantle piece Thanks 🤩

Mina S., Google review, 2025

Kaushik has reprinted my daughter’s graduation photograph that has been badly damaged with age over the years and some of the picture had actually flaked off. I am absolutely thrilled with the end result. It looks better than the original. I can’t recommend this photographer highly enough.

Before you travel

Send the file ahead from Harrow

If you are coming from Harrow, email the photo first. We can check whether it will hold the size you want and reply before you set off, so the trip is to choose the finish rather than to find out the file is too small.

When you collect, we can wrap a large canvas for the Tube or the car. If you would rather not carry it, say so when you order and we will talk through the options.

A town built on photography

Old Harrow photographs, given a second life

Harrow has a long link with photography. Kodak made photographic materials at its Wealdstone factory for 125 years, and in the 1860s the Hills and Saunders company ran a studio on Harrow on the Hill, photographing the schools, families and local area. Plenty of local families still have boxes of prints from those years and later.

A faded or creased print can be scanned at high resolution, repaired and then printed on canvas. Canvas suits these older pictures well, because its texture softens grain and small flaws that would be obvious behind glass.
