The short answer

Where can I get a canvas print made in Northwood?

At our studio at The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6 1NU, on the parade next to Northwood Hills station. You can walk in with a picture on your phone, a memory stick, a print or a negative, see it on a large screen, and agree the size and finish there and then. A photographer tells you honestly how big the file can go before it softens, and you get a quote for the canvas before any work begins. Finished canvases are normally ready to collect from the same counter within one to two weeks.

I needed to take some pictures urgently and have them printed before the holidays. Although it was quite short notice, Kaushik Bathia photography accommodated me and printed my pictures for me. The pictures came out very nice on the canvas and I’m so happy about this. I’ll always use the service here. The gentleman is very kind and extremely helpful.

Kaushik Bathia photography studio listened to my needs. He managed to transform the background from dark black to red. I'm so pleased that I would like to recommend to every customer who is looking for an outstanding creative photography. He is professional and honest person. I truly recommend everyone to visit him at Northwood Hills.

Mina P., Google review, 2026

…Not only did he welcome me in with a smile, but he took his time to make sure I got exactly what I needed without rushing. The service was professional, the atmosphere was warm, and the work was high-quality. It’s clear that this is someone who genuinely cares about his customers. I left not only with great prints, but also with a great impression.

At the counter

Talking it through face to face

Choosing a canvas online means guessing at the size and hoping the file holds up. At the counter we enlarge your picture on screen to the size you have in mind, so you can see for yourself whether faces stay crisp, and we suggest a crop if part of the frame would be lost round the edge of the stretcher.

If you live locally you can pop back to approve a test or a proof rather than relying on email, which is handy for anything with tricky skin tones or an old, faded original.

Ideas for the wall

What people in Northwood put on canvas

Family portraits and wedding pictures are the most common, followed by holiday views and pets. Walks in Ruislip Woods give plenty of autumn and bluebell pictures that print well large, because foliage hides the slight softness a phone camera leaves in the detail.

Many homes around Northwood's older streets have high ceilings and long stair walls that suit a large single piece or a set of three. Measure the wall, or photograph it with something of known size in the shot, and we will help you judge the proportion.

Where to find us

Dropping in from Northwood and Northwood Hills

The studio is in the row of shops on Joel Street built beside Northwood Hills station; look for the Metroland mural on the station bridge and we are a few doors along. From Northwood town centre, it is one stop from Northwood station on the Metropolitan line, and buses 282, 331 and H11 serve both Northwood and Northwood Hills.

There is parking close by the parade, which helps when you are bringing in a framed original or collecting a large canvas. Larger pieces are wrapped for the journey home.
