Crondon Park is a family-owned estate in the Crondon valley, on Stock Road just before Stock village. The land was a working farm bought in 1990; the golf club opened in 1994 and weddings followed (the estate). Weddings centre on the Baronial Hall, a Tudor barn the venue dates to 1606, with a ceremony room beside it, a private garden and on-site rooms. It is an all-inclusive venue with in-house catering and bar, and the venue states it is not dry hire.
Our studio is at 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6, photographing weddings since 2001 and rated 4.8 out of 5 from 580+ Google reviews. Crondon Park lists suppliers it works with but does not say couples must choose from them, and we are glad to photograph at Crondon Park. Coverage starts from £750.

What Crondon Park publishes on package prices
Crondon Park sells all-inclusive packages rather than venue hire, and the FAQ says it is not a dry-hire venue: catering, bar, staffing, furnishings and service come from the venue (FAQs).
The wedding prices page publishes a 2026 Wedding Collection at £7,995 for 60 guests, offered on any remaining 2026 date, Saturdays and peak dates included (wedding prices). It includes:
- exclusive use of the Baronial Hall, the Ceremony Room, a private garden and patio;
- a reception drink, a three-course wedding breakfast, tea, coffee and mints;
- half a bottle of house wine per guest and a glass of Prosecco for the speeches;
- an evening buffet and a resident DJ;
- front-of-house, waiting and bar staff, full bar facilities, linen, glassware and tableware;
- chiavari chairs (without sashes) and bird cages for guest tables.
The same page gives ranges, based on 60 guests, with no year stated: Monday to Wednesday from £7,995; Thursday and Sunday £7,995 to £10,995; Friday £7,995 to £11,995; Saturday £7,995 to £12,995. The home page says fully inclusive packages start from £6,995 (home page). The sources do not agree on the starting figure, and the cost per extra guest is not published, so ask for a written quote at your own numbers. Registrar fees are paid to Essex Registration Services and are not shown as included.
The Ceremony Room, the Baronial Hall or the garden canopy
Most ceremonies take place in the Ceremony Room next to the Baronial Hall, which overlooks the gardens; the private, lockable Willows room leads straight into it. Ceremonies can also be held in the Baronial Hall, or in summer under a floral canopy in the Baronial Gardens, moving indoors if the weather turns (ceremonies page). The FAQ gives the ceremony hall a capacity of 100.
Civil ceremonies are conducted by Essex Registration Services (0345 603 7632). The legal ceremony must be non-religious, but the venue says a blessing can be added in any of its licensed locations, or you can marry in a church and come to Crondon Park for the reception, using the Ceremony Room for welcome drinks. Arrival times are fixed at the final planning meeting. All rooms are air conditioned.
Crondon Park does not publish anything about Hindu, Sikh or Muslim ceremonies, a mandap or a sacred fire, a baraat, or halal, vegetarian or Gujarati menus. Because catering must come from the in-house kitchen, ask the events team in writing what they can serve and whether a religious ceremony can be held in the hall or garden before you book.
Fireworks yes, the rest unpublished: Crondon Park's rules
Crondon Park's wedding terms are not published on its site; the terms page covers restaurant bookings only. The rules below are the few the venue states on its own pages; for the rest, ask the events team for the wedding contract.
| Photography during the ceremony | Not published; registrars from Essex Registration Services set their own rules |
|---|---|
| Own photographer | Not restricted on the published pages; the venue lists photographers among its associated suppliers without saying they are required |
| Flash | Not published |
| Drones | Not published |
| Confetti | Not published |
| Fireworks | Permitted; the associated services page calls the fireworks supplier a stipulated supplier under the terms |
| Finish time | Carriages at midnight any day of the week, with an option to extend the licence |
| Music | Sound system provided and run by the Front of House Manager; live musicians or a playlist |
Where a rule is shown as not published, ask the venue in writing before the day.
The Lily suite, the Willows room and the Granary
The Lily night-before suite is in the main building beside the breakfast lounge and sleeps six to eight people, with breakfast included; the venue describes it as a place for the couple and closest family or friends to start the day (accommodation). The Granary Bridal Suite is a detached cottage about 30 yards from the Baronial Hall with a four-poster bed, oak beams, a freestanding bath and views across the valley, available from 11am on the wedding day (FAQs).
The five guest bedrooms (Poppy, Primrose, Bluebell, Rose and Lavender) each have a dressing table with a make-up mirror, a full-length cheval mirror, a patio door, and an internal door straight into the ceremony room (guest bedrooms). That makes them practical for the other half of the couple to dress close to the ceremony. The private Willows room also opens into the Ceremony Room.
A suggested order for a Crondon Park wedding day
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Morning | Suggestion: getting-ready photographs in the Lily suite, with the other half of the couple in a guest bedroom; the Granary Bridal Suite is available from 11am. |
| Ceremony (time set at the final planning meeting) | Civil ceremony in the Ceremony Room, the Baronial Hall, or under the garden canopy in summer. |
| After the ceremony | Reception drink. Suggestion: group photographs on the garden lawn, then couple portraits by the fountain and with the valley behind. |
| Wedding breakfast | Three-course meal in the Baronial Hall, then speeches with a glass of Prosecco. |
| Evening | Evening buffet, resident DJ and bar in the Baronial Hall. Check the light table for the month before fixing a sunset portrait. |
| Midnight | Carriages, unless the licence has been extended. |
An outline for planning, not a schedule. Times are shown only where the venue publishes them; everything else is a stage to time with you and confirm with the venue.

Planning photographs in a 1606 barn and a half-acre garden
- The Baronial Hall has rustic beams, high ceilings and rosewood flooring, and can be dressed formally or left rustic (the Baronial Barn). The beams are the main architectural backdrop for a first dance or speeches.
- The ceremony room and the hall both overlook the gardens. The venue describes a half-acre private garden with green lawns and a countryside backdrop (why choose Crondon Park), and a secluded garden with a fountain and space for garden games (about us).
- The home page describes the venue as set in the Crondon valley with sweeping countryside views, and the Granary Bridal Suite looks across the valley, which suits a quiet portrait away from guests.
- The about page mentions views suited to fireworks and sparklers, so a night-time sparkler or fireworks picture is one to plan with the events team.
- The estate is also a working golf club with a restaurant; ask which parts of the grounds are open to the wedding party for portraits on your date.
From working farm to golf club to wedding venue
The venue's estate page records that the land was originally a working farm, bought in March 1990, with the golf club opening on 31 May 1994; weddings and functions followed and helped pay for further development (the estate). The Baronial Hall is described as a Tudor barn built in 1606 and one of the finest examples of its kind. Crondon Park is family-owned and still runs its championship golf course and a pizza restaurant alongside the weddings.
The A12, the B1007 and the road into Stock
Crondon Park is on Stock Road (the B1007), Stock CM4 9DP. From the M25, leave at junction 28 and follow the A12 towards Chelmsford, leave the A12 at junction 16 on the B1007 signed for Galleywood and Stock, turn right at the double mini-roundabout towards Stock and Billericay, and the venue is on the right about 1.5 miles from the A12, just before Stock village (contact and directions). The venue does not name a nearest station or bus route, so guests travelling by train should plan a taxi from the nearest main line station. We travel to Crondon Park from our Northwood studio, and travel is set out in the written quote.
Parking at Crondon Park: what is and is not published
Crondon Park does not publish parking details for wedding guests on its wedding, FAQ, tour or contact pages (contact and directions). The estate also runs a golf club and a restaurant, so ask the events team how many spaces are set aside for your guests, whether they are shared on your date, and whether cars can stay overnight, before you send invitations.
