Since 2022 it has belonged to Neal Khanna, who also owns The Clay Oven, an Asian catering and events business founded in Wembley in 1983. The venue's site calls Clay Oven "our sister company", runs a page branded "Hunton Park by Clay Oven", and states that "Clay Oven is the number 1 Asian wedding caterer in London for Indian weddings".

Owned by an Asian caterer: what that changes at Hunton Park

Hertfordshire County Council's public notice confirms approved-premises status for civil ceremonies. Directories name the Orangery, Hazelwood Suite, Mansion Porch and Garden Parterre as licensed areas.

Three published rules shape the day. Biodegradable confetti is permitted outside only. On candles: "Due to the historic nature of the property, we can only permit LED candles in all our event spaces." No fireworks, because the venue is in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

On catering: "Outside caterers may be used if specialist menus are required. Public liability insurance, food hygiene and PAT testing certificates must be provided." It also holds "an extensive list of preferred caterers", unpublished beyond Clay Oven.

Ask the venue, in writing: is a mandap permitted, and are there size limits? Is open flame allowed for a havan or agni? The LED-candle rule covers candles and does not answer that. Is a baraat permitted, with horse or dhol? What is corkage — a directory mentions a charge, no amount published. What are the step-free routes and lift access, and is there a drone policy?

A 6.5-metre marquee, 22 acres, and LED candles only

Arrivals come up a sweeping driveway through 22 acres, leaving room for car, family and group pictures away from the building.
The Manor House Porch is the outdoor ceremony spot, seating 110 over the gardens. Agree a fixed start time, not a window.
LED candles only, so no real-flame table or diya shots.
No fireworks, so no sparkler exit and no pyro finale. Choose a different closing picture early.
Confetti outside only: on the gardens or the drive, never indoors.
The 23:00 and midnight curfews set when the dance floor pictures stop. Book coverage to the curfew, not past it.

A Grade II* Queen Anne house, and Haile Selassie

Built in 1909 by Hubbard and Moore for the Rev. H. S. Gladstone, in Queen Anne style: brown-red and lighter red brick with stone and white painted wood dressings under a hipped tiled roof. It replaced Hazelwood House of about 1810, destroyed by fire in 1908. Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia stayed here briefly during his exile after Italy's 1936 invasion. The estate later served the Ministry of Defence, Rolls-Royce aircraft manufacturing and Leavesden Film Studios, hosted a 1970s Hammer horror production, and appeared in the 1971 film The Raging Moon.

Kings Langley, the M25, and the AONB confetti rule
