Bhaktivedanta Manor is a working Hindu temple at Aldenham, near Watford, and weddings are held in the function halls of Sri Krishna Haveli on the estate. The temple's visitor rules apply to everyone on site, guests and suppliers included, and they shape the day more than any styling choice: footwear off in the Temple building, vegetarian food only, and no alcohol, caffeine, smoking or vaping.

Package prices Bhaktivedanta Manor has published for 2024 and 2025
The latest prices the temple has published are in its 2024 wedding brochure, which lists 2024 and 2025 rates for Monday to Saturday:
- Package A, 2 to 150 people: £11,295 in 2024, £11,795 in 2025.
- Package B, 150 to 450 people: £15,245 in 2024, £15,795 in 2025. Another version of the 2024 brochure gives the 2025 Package B range as 150 to 300 people.
- Premium Package, all-day hire: £22,295 in 2024, £22,795 in 2025.
Packages cover Haveli hire, mandap, decorations and the priest. Food is charged per guest on top: Silver £24.95, Gold £25.95, Platinum £29.95 and Premium £31.95. The current event and wedding brochure, linked from the weddings page, publishes no prices, says catering, servers, the sound technician and puja samagri are not included in the Premium package, and notes that prices may change without notice. Ask for current figures in writing.
Shoes off, vegetarian only, no alcohol or caffeine
These rules come from the temple's visitor page and apply on the whole estate:
- Footwear off on entering any part of the Temple building. Shoe racks are provided.
- Vegetarian food only. Non-vegetarian food is strictly prohibited, including fish, eggs, onion and garlic, or any food containing them.
- No alcohol or caffeine. No alcoholic drinks or drinks containing caffeine, such as cola, tea or coffee.
- No smoking or vaping on the grounds or in the buildings.
- Modest dress is expected, and visitors aged 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
The wedding packages include the in-house priest, and the mandap and decor come from the temple's recommended suppliers. Not published, so ask the venue in writing: whether an open flame for the havan has conditions attached, whether confetti or petals may be thrown, whether a baraat with a dhol can take place outdoors, the finish time, and whether a civil ceremony can be booked alongside the Vedic one.
Temple photography rules: personal use, media team permission
The temple's visitor page separates personal photography, which is allowed, from anything else, which needs the media team's permission. A wedding photographer is not a visitor taking holiday snaps, so ask the Wedding Manager to confirm the arrangement for your booking in writing. The brochure itself presents the gardens and grounds as a place for couples to take photographs and to take darshan after the ceremony.

Dressing rooms for both families
The current event and wedding brochure lists a bride's dressing room and a groom's dressing room among the package inclusions, so both sides can prepare on site. Ask which rooms they are, how early you can have them and how much daylight they get, because that is where the preparation photographs are taken.

Working barefoot and planning darshan
- Shoes come off in the Temple building, so movement there is slower and quieter. Plan any coverage inside it with more time than a hall would need.
- Agree the media team's permission before the day, and ask where the photographer may stand during darshan.
- The 6-hour hall block is the frame for the whole ceremony and meal on standard packages. Get the start and end written into the booking and plan family groups inside it.
- Festival days can change the car park arrangements, so check the temple's calendar before fixing a date.
Aldenham, Hilfield Lane and two sat-nav postcodes
The postal address is Dharam Marg, Hilfield Lane, Aldenham, Watford WD25 8EZ. The directions page gives WD25 8DT for sat-nav, and elsewhere an approximate driving postcode of WD25 8HE, so test the route before the day. The Manor is reached only via Hilfield Lane, off Sandy Lane from the A41; there is no access from Letchmore Heath village, and taxis should be sent to the Dharam Marg entrance. The directions page lists Bushey (3.4 miles), Radlett (4), Watford Junction (5), Watford Met (5.5), Stanmore (6) and Edgware (7) as the nearest stations.
Free parking, no overnight stays, Blue Badge bays
The visitor page says parking is free for visitors to the temple and that no overnight parking is allowed. Blue Badge holders have bays in the car park at the gate closest to the main Manor building. Free car parking is also listed as an inclusion in the current wedding brochure. On festival days the car park arrangements may be different, and the temple asks visitors to check the individual festival page. No space count or coach drop-off arrangement is published.
