The short answer
Kaushik Bathia has photographed weddings across Merseyside for over twenty five years, and couples in Liverpool choose him for calm, natural coverage backed by more than a thousand weddings and five European Gold awards. We give couples space to enjoy their own wedding, gathering the images around you rather than pulling you out of the moment for the sake of a shot. We cover every kind of wedding in Liverpool, from church, civil and register office ceremonies to country houses, barns, marquees, hotels and garden venues, as well as multicultural and fusion celebrations. We have handled enough weddings to stay unflustered when a plan changes at short notice, keeping the mood light while we quietly work around it. A second photographer, relaxed engagement shoots and hand finished fine art albums are all available, and we travel across Merseyside and the wider UK so distance is never a problem.
Maritime light off the Mersey is bright and changeable, and on the Pier Head waterfront the Royal Liver Building becomes either a clean silhouette or a flat grey block depending on the hour. Timing the couple's waterfront run is therefore the biggest single decision of the day. Sefton Park, the large Victorian public park in the south of the city, is the fallback and the better option under hard midday sun. Lime Street, the oldest mainline terminus still in operation, brings guests into the centre while the M62 approaches from the east, so arrivals split. The Adelphi Hotel, The Shankly Hotel, Thornton Hall Hotel and Knowsley Hall span city centre to country estate, and that choice changes the whole evening. Families based in Toxteth, Aigburth or Anfield add short but real transfers to the schedule.
Serving Liverpool
Liverpool is a great maritime city with a diverse community. From hotel weddings to barn celebrations and register office ceremonies, we photograph the full spread of venues in Bootle, Wavertree and Allerton and the wider Merseyside. Signing the register is almost always a re-enactment for the camera, and we keep it to two frames rather than the long staged sequence that used to be standard.
We photograph in a documentary way, recording the day as a story from the morning preparations through to the last dance, with as little interference as possible. Our documentary instinct means we are often looking where others are not, catching the reaction behind the speech and the smile just after the vows. Where formal groups are wanted we keep them efficient and good humoured, so you spend more of the day with your guests and less of it lining up for the camera.
The area around Liverpool is well within the ground we travel. Liverpool is a great maritime city with a diverse community, and our coverage carries on into nearby Chester and Warrington without missing a beat. Venues we cover in and near Liverpool include The Adelphi Hotel, The Shankly Hotel and Thornton Hall Hotel.
Liverpool is a maritime city on the Mersey with a diverse community, celebrated waterfront heritage and a rich musical history. Liverpool Lime Street is the city's main terminus and the oldest mainline terminus still in operation, with the M62 approaching from the east. For pre-wedding and couple portraits, we love spots such as Sefton Park, a large Victorian public park in the south of the city, with The Royal Liver Building on the Pier Head waterfront close by for a striking backdrop.

What we offer
Your favourite images are hand-finished into a printed album built to last, designed with you page by page.
You receive full resolution images you can print, keep and pass on, with no watermark and no small print.
A second photographer covers the other side of the day, from the groom getting ready to guest reactions you would otherwise miss.
Every kind of wedding
From the moment the doors open to the confetti afterwards, we treat the ceremony as the heart of the day and photograph it with patience and care. The exchange of rings, the signing of the register and the walk back up the aisle all matter to us, and we cover each without asking you to pause. We arrive early enough to photograph the empty ceremony room, because once guests are seated the flowers, the aisle and the setup you planned are effectively gone.
When the evening party begins and the lights come down, we adapt our approach, working in low light to keep the dancing alive and full of energy. Group shots need not be stiff, and we keep them relaxed and quick, gathering families in good humour so nobody stands about waiting in the sun. Group photographs need not feel like a chore, and we run them briskly and with good humour so you are soon back among your guests.

The whole celebration
We ask what time the make-up artist expects to finish and then plan to be there forty-five minutes before, because that estimate is optimistic more often than not. We often start with the morning preparations, when the room is calm and the day still feels private, and photograph the small details before the pace picks up.
By staying with you from start to finish, we can show the day building, so the energy on the dance floor clearly comes from somewhere. We deliver a set that feels balanced, giving weight to the getting ready, the vows, the meal and the dancing so no chapter is left thin.
Why choose us
With more than 1,000 weddings behind us over twenty-five years, very little takes us by surprise, and that experience keeps us steady when a day runs long. With more than 1,000 weddings behind us over twenty-five years, very little takes us by surprise, and that experience keeps us steady when a day runs long.
Wherever the celebration takes you, we come along, covering venues throughout Bootle, Wavertree and Allerton and right across Merseyside without a fuss. Nothing about a longer journey changes the coverage itself; a wedding in Merseyside receives the same planning, the same backup equipment and the same hours as one in London.

Where we travel
Whether your day stays close to Bootle, Wavertree and Allerton or spreads across Merseyside, we plan the logistics so the coverage flows without gaps. You focus on the day and we handle the travel, arriving early at your Merseyside venue and staying as long as the plan requires.

Good to know
You can look forward to several hundred edited images from a full wedding day, and often a good deal more when the celebration is large. Because we prize quality over quantity, each photograph is individually chosen and finished by hand. They come to you at full resolution without watermarks, yours to print or share as you please. This applies across Liverpool and Toxteth, Aigburth and Anfield.
It depends on your plans, but as a guide we suggest around thirty minutes for family groups, twenty for couple portraits and a little breathing room after the ceremony. We would rather you enjoy the day than rush between set-ups, so we build the schedule to feel relaxed. We will talk this through with you. Outdoors in Liverpool we like Sefton Park, a large Victorian public park in the south of the city.
Running late is part and parcel of weddings, so we leave some slack in the schedule to absorb it. If things drift, we adjust our priorities there and then, making sure the key moments are never sacrificed. Our instinct is to stay relaxed instead of rushing you along, though we will gently flag it should a delay risk losing good light. Locally in Liverpool that takes in The Royal Liver Building on the Pier Head waterfront.
Yes, and they are a popular choice. A pre-wedding shoot is a relaxed session, an hour or so, that lets us get to know each other and takes the strangeness out of being in front of the lens. By the day itself you feel far more settled, and you keep the images to use for save-the-dates or simply enjoy. Venues we cover near Liverpool include The Adelphi Hotel, The Shankly Hotel and Thornton Hall Hotel.
We keep the group photographs relaxed and brisk, so nobody is left standing about for ages. It helps enormously if you send a short list of the combinations you want in advance and appoint a friend or usher who can put names to faces. We round everyone up gently and have this part wrapped up quickly. For Liverpool bookings, getting here is simple: Liverpool Lime Street is the city's main terminus and the oldest mainline terminus still in operation, with the M62 approaching from the east.
You do. Your full collection of hand-edited, high-resolution photographs arrives in a private gallery, and you are welcome to print them yourself for your own use. Download them, order prints, or share the link with loved ones who missed the day. They belong to you, to look back on for a lifetime. We cover Liverpool and nearby Toxteth, Aigburth and Anfield.
We do. Our prints, framed works and wall art are made by reliable UK labs, keeping the colours and quality in line with how the photos appear digitally. Printing your own from the high-resolution files is always an option too. If you are unsure which frames flatter a room, we are glad to lend an eye. Liverpool and neighbouring Toxteth, Aigburth and Anfield are all covered.
